Got my green onions in (I like to never pick them entirely and just harvest the greens and they just keep growin') these ones i bought from the store and used the tops and just stuck the lowers in water for a week and you could damn near just grow these things in a glass of water lol

lol
when I saw this, I jumped up, pulled my green onions out of the fridge, and stuck them into a jar of water.
Why haven't I been doing this!?!?! Thank you!

Ah lovely view! the con cheese are coming along really nicely too, all of them! :weed:

haha oh yeah, you're welcome! i never start green onion from seed unless i want a special variety. I loooooove onions!

you need to change the water every few days and rinse off the onions or it gets stagnant. but once they start getting some good new roots, just plant them deep and you can just harvest the greens and they keep growing new. and when they start getting super huge, just pull them up and use them all (they actually get close to a "spring onion" in size after long enough period) or you can chop the tops off and strip away a few of the outer layers and start over!

and so far the fabrics are looking the best with the con cheese, it's pretty close between the two

Absolutely - onions are something that I use all over the place, in different forms, too :D
Thanksfor the tips, will do! Though of course I couldn't contain myself and added a pinch of aloe powder and mycos tothe water haha
As for the Con cheese, yeah I hink it'll be as you said, that if at all, we'll see differences in flower :weed:

Ok here we go, back to the grind of endless homework after this. Con Cheese is done and they were much more dense than I was anticipating.... frosty as all get out.... and beautiful as well. Not bad for heavy soil. Won't be making that mistake again! Here's one of them....

10 gal fabric for the win. I added Mad Farmer MOAB to one of two Mulanje Gold organic compost grows and I saw a huge increase in bud sites and flower size compared to the control.

I have been looking for good organic replacements and found kelp meal and molasses to be good options. ProTekt Silica offers good K but I am not sure of its naturalness.

Flash pictures always make my plants look pale. I prefer sunshine pics when possible.

Thanks for dropping by, Mo! yeah i agree with the pictures, sunshine provides much better light

i'm learning that Comfrey and Borage (along with Kelp tea) are going to be the K boost that I need in the mix!! comfrey is 6% K by weight (according to npk i saw), and I hear borage is also high in K as well.

the MOAB is going to be similar to what i'm gonna do with fishbone meal and my K boost product by organically done. fishbone meal is high P (13%) and the K boost (24%). so i'm gonna make a mix of 2 parts fishbone meal to 1 part K boost, and then apply that at a rate of 3tbsp topdress at beginning of flower, and 3 weeks into flower. I will also be doing control side by sides

i made it all up o_O haha j/k just some easy math :) I just want to try out a "flower boost" and see what happens. I'm using it on all the cheese for the container experiment and we'll see how they do compared to the run i just took down. if there's really significant results.... well i guess i'm gonna keep trying it! I'm also doing it on the GG#4 and Brainwreck that are in flower right now. They're off to a great start.

The only problem I had with bone and blood was how long it takes to become available.

Now that I have a mature compost culture going with a ton of worm activity, I am mostly feeding the worms.
no bone or blood in this mix im gonna use for topdress. well fishbone but i don't think that stuff takes too long to break down (and i hear the fungi like it??). the K boost is kelp, sulfite of potash and leonardite. can't see how it's not gonna help a little bit, right?

and i'm friggin ready for some worm castings.... having only one bin of the get go is gonna be sloooooow to me. i like things NOW. lol
