hate speech is not protected speech. when milo outs gay students, and trans students, and undocumented students, and encourages his nazi followers to harass and attack them to the point where they fear for their lives, he has crossed the line from free speech to hate speech.
so the patriotic freedom fighters take it upon themselves to go out and stomp some nazis. a wholesome and just pursuit.

No, they weren't simply speaking. They were throwing shit at the building, breaking ATM's and riding on people's cars as they were trying to drive away. Oh and setting shit on fire. A concerted effort to stop a speaking event at a public building funded by all citizens of the US that was approved by the school staff.

My University had a Milo "meet-cute" shortly before the election. I thought about going but decided it was not worth the trip. The speech went off in a quiet out-of-the-way broom closet once used in the Manhattan Project. There were some signs but most reacted with benign disgust. I imagine if they tried to bring him back today there might be a different reaction. It is not my fault. I do not yet condone violence. This is an organic reaction to the Cheeto in Chief who's blundering his way into a serious situation.

Nah. It keeps me young. Also, I have spent a long time wondering how I would have reacted to the rise of Hitler if I were a wee kraut at the time. Now I know. The Trump-Hitler analogy is far from perfect. But the tactics are the same. The nationalism is the same. But mostly, their followers are the same. I will never tire of bashing their thick skulls.
