yes you are correct about the driver and I totally didn't think you were being a dick, any advice or feedback I get is much appreciated on my end you seem very knowledgeable and without people like you spreading their knowledge there wouldn't be people like me switching from HPS to LED !!
I wasn't trying to be a dick. I'd guess if you are getting 500-600 across the canopy, you're probably driving at 700-1400mA.

So if I run more than one 450w vipar panel in my 3'x3'x5' 6" tent, my plants get sick and stay small. If I run just one, they look much healthier. (the picture I posted earlier was with two lights and the plant is extremely stunted compared to the plants now.)

I manually put 3 plants into darkness, so I always have 3 in light on 12 hours, and 3 in darkness on 12 hours. To reiterate, I manually move them when they need to be switched, but the tent itself is always on 24 hours. Flowering plants are in 4 gals so it's tough to fit more than a few in the 3x3 at once.

I can't seem to effectively utilize MORE light. I keep a few clones/small plants in the corners on 24 hours. They stay extremely short and bushy, even the small ones under the canopy so I don't think they need more light. If I put them outside of the tent, door open, with minimal light, they'll start to stretch. Is my tent just too small to handle such a concentration?

Stretch means inadequate light. Bushy is good.

I seem to be having a similar problem ... running 2 ViparSpectra 600W LEDs in a 4'X6' room, and my 6 plants from seed seem stunted at 3 weeks. You can see on the larger leaf tips some dry spots. I've had the lights at 24", just moved them to 30" ... too much light? Too close?

I've seemed to fix my issues by adding cal-mag and keeping my temperature and humidity constant. Despite my Soul Synthetics having calcium and magnesium, I added some roots organics elemental (which is a dry powder) and Age Old Organic CaliMag. All my plants look amazing since. In my opinion, you need Mag. Look it up on google images and tell me what you think. I do see -slight- twisting, maybe pH is off, therefore not allowing mag to be absorbed?

Oh, also raised my lights to the roof my tent. They are 24" above most of my canopy. A couple plants are flowering into the light and are not getting burned at all. The babies around the flowers (which are heavily shaded) are still bushy. Hope the 30" gap works for you.

Yes, the 30" gap seems to be working. And, I think you were right about the Mag; I transplanted and fed them all after my previous post, and in the new photo you can see the diff. Also, I'm lowering the light about 1/2" every other day; seems to be working fine. i think I just stunted them with too much light, too fast. Thanx for the help.

oh really? didnt realise! hmmm it was a calmag product i was messing with. do you know why its calcium?
There is a certain red nanometer in some blurple LED that drives the plant crazy for calcium in flower and it can severely deform a plant within weeks if no calcium supplement is given.

I know this thread is old...but wanted to update you guys so if anyone reading this is in 2017...i bought the 300w vipar led to go with my hps. This company is solid. I bought from Amazon and maybe ebay was the problem. Viparspectrum is the official seller and is who I bought from with Amazon. Returns and customer service has been top notch. The light is better for veg considering the ample blue tent, but like I said I veg with it and then toss in my hps as a tag along and have great results! I'm really sorry to hear about these bad reviews, but here's a good one!
