Ordering Seeds

The website said they are based in Amsterdam and the envelope they came in said they came from Switzerland and the company was called some climate company. Have none of you bought seeds from there? Its like the first site that comes up on Google when I searched about growing when I started my first grow.

I have been buying from ILGM for a few years and am very happy with the company and their product.I had a problem with seeds from herbies being seized by customs but ILGM has the same great stealth that nirvana uses and ILGM does not charge for shipping. stealth or using a credit or debit card. been growing this strain for 2 years and only had 2 seeds fail to germinate https://shop.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com/collections/feminised/products/super-silver-haze-marijuana-seeds works well for pain stress insomnia and loss of appetite.

You can use a Visa that is connected to a address...or maybe you can use the store bought ones. They dont take Mastercard. Just hit continue and you will be taken to 3rd party site that takes Visa. I am going to check into Xoom which claims that payment is transferred under 2 hours. My last order back before Discreet had CC problems was placed on a Tuesday and I received it Friday...not the cheapest place to buy but their ability to ship in packaging that does not end up sitting in Customs is worth it.

Ha...my girl said the same thing, but I am pretty serious...just don't know if I want to go to Amsterdam, or cali....I have been running a breeding program in Maine for sometime, and I am only interested in calis rebel grown genetics, or the seedbank I have been using for ever in europe. Use to be easy, had many greendot cards under different names for purchasing...looks like either way I am traveling. We have to have certain prefered traits up in northern maine.

I guess going to california... I wouldn't drive with the seeds. Mail them to yourself for sure. Put them in something so when the post office asks what ur mailing you don't have to make up a lie... Or put them in a birthday card and drop them in the mail, that would work as well I guess. If you had the money to go to Amsterdam then yeah.. that would be fun but the mail would get checked much more close and don't put it in your luggage, that doesn't sound like a good idea at all.

I think Attitude still takes credit cards. Herbies does not accept US transactions now, but will take an envelope of cash. Both good companies.

Ok so my card got declined when ordering from I Love Growing Marijuana which is where I got my last batch from and they said I need to tell my bank about it. Well seeing as they charge it under a different company and its illegal in my state I dont know what I'd say to my bank that isnt suspicious. Last time I ordered I had a buddy who started growing before me (hes not very good) and I just gave him the cash cause I was paranoid about my name being on it but now I have to do it for myself. Guys how should I go about this?

Easy work around - done this recently because i used a new credit card ... I called card holder and stated i was going to make a charge to oversea vendors for t-shirts and stuff online. I told them to allow international purchases ... They corrected it in five minutes.

Most " seedbanks " will show a different entity when charges come in. Name of company is something generic on your statements.

Herbie's doesn't accept cc anymore so I ordered, printed the order and mailed cash to them, and they got it in a few days. They sent an email saying it's out and now it's on the way. Not too bad. Just had to buy a Global stamp for $1.15. What US seed companies are there and has a good rep?

i just reread the op, you said your state is illegal, so i'd say that you live in the us.. if so, why not check out some of the us based seed banks? that way you don't have to worry about getting your beans through customs..
check out a site like great lake genetics, james bean seed company, and a bunch of others .. if you want, i can get the link for the thread on what sites in the us are good to use..

Post that link please.

Note : TSSC ( single seed centre UK ) has had some issues with their payment gateway.

I tried to do an order ... It accepted card as usual BUT i could not check order status .
2 days later it was cancelled ( from them ) and payment returned. I added a small order to CART and as soon as it went to checkout ( screen message of problem processing ).

Visa may be changing things and put a stop to cards.

Oh well .... I ordered 9 times with deliveries always done. It sucks.

I won't touch ILGM. First order never arrived, had to wait a full month for them to try again, those didn't arrive either, and had to wait another full month before they would agree a refund, which took another 3 weeks.

Three months waiting on nothing.

Then I get a letter from customs explaining this shipment had been seized. I'm expecting a second letter for the replacement shipment any day now.

Presumably their stealth packaging is poor, but I wouldn't know cos I never received a thing.

Not impressed.

They communicate out of Amsterdam, ship out of Switzerland.

I've had easy times with other sellers out of Amsterdam, and even out of the UK (Midweek Song) with no issues.

Just my 2c.

I just went through this same thing with ILGM a few days ago.
I called the card company and told them i tried to make an international purchase that was declined. Was informed that since i do not normally do this, it triggered some security thing. He told me my card had been reset and it would go through next time... and it did! Beans are on the way!

Idk man, my buddy who ordered them got every order it came in a packet that said some climate company from Switzerland. I still have my original package. But I'll try one of your guyses suggestions cause I really do not want that conversation with my bank. I'm really paranoid that authorities would be alerted.

A bit of paranoia is always good when growing, but look at it rationally. As @Budzbuddha wrote, tell your bank you are buying t shirts or similar. Why would your bank alert anyone that you are buying clothing? Unless you are buying hundreds of dollars worth of t shirts it won't seem remotely suspicious.
Are 'souvenir' seeds legal in the US in a non medical state? I know customs can confiscate them but I thought they only sent a letter saying you've been a naughty person. Here in the UK actual seeds are legal but as soon as you germ them you can get busted for growing. That is why Herbies etc can sell seeds, they all sell them as souvenirs. Look on google streetview at Herbies address. It is only a few hundred yards from a police station. The police can't do anything as it is perfectly legal

I don't like doing it either but as of this date, really feel the risk is minimal. As previously stated, and i have heard this before... all they do is confiscate the seeds and send you a letter saying they have done so and that's the end of it. I was told that like 15 years ago.
That said, I don't even think they will confiscate 'em anymore since it is legal now in many states.

You don't have to tell the card company anything other than you are trying to make an international purchase that is being declined. When you call the number on the back of the card, you are not talking to the people at your local bank branch. If you feel you need to explain it to them just say you are in the doghouse and trying to get a unique gift for your girlfriend or something. However, that is lying and don't condone it. it is really none of their business what you are buying and other than perhaps curiosity, they have no need to know.
