have you ever tried finishing your plant with boiling water.....it's not a myth but a reality that it does change the flavour profileSo I have decided to make a thread for all the stupid and not so stupid things people do or think helps in the whole grow to harvest. I will start it off with boiling water around the roots for harvest or puting ice around the base of your plant before harvest.
I Genuinely dry my plant upside down. Probably because It makes more sense to peg the stem and not the crownThe best myth is hanging the plant upside down to let the oils flow out of the roots
I did post an experiment with 4 plants each using a different method...., but it all comes down to personal preferences.....I didn't really like the change of flavour profile, but others doNot as of yet. Maybe someone should do a bit of an experiment with pics. And a control plant
Yeah the whole flushing thing always starts a debate. So many swear bye it but what does it really do. All I can think is maybe people are saying water without ferts to stop some harshnessFermentation cures like finshing with boiling water on roots is no myth, they smoke smoother. Biggest myths are defoliation and flushing, imo.
It doesn't make females....That (use of the "pill" by plants) is an old, old "thing" from the 70's. It was said that it made plants fuller and more "lush"..... it worked on my spider/Jade plants pretty good. What about the old birth control pill to make sure you get a female. That makes me laugh every time

Tin foil dosent spread or diffuse the lights, i think it was always the case that enough directed beams of light at a certain spot could create problems.Myth ....tin foil causes hot spots and will burn your plants.
this one is just laughable, we can agree that tin foil is not a great reflector (flat white paint or mylar are much better at reflecting light) but there's no way the tin foil can amplify or focus the reflected light to a point it burns your plants
Stress no but i think the environment lends itself to determining overall ratios of sex and what not. This seems to be a trait developed in wild populations and subject of a few studies, also where the whole hermie thing seems to fit in nicely. Over more generations the effect more pronounced.Stress and temperature can determine the sex of your beanz.
Both those examples are not myth..So I have decided to make a thread for all the stupid and not so stupid things people do or think helps in the whole grow to harvest. I will start it off with boiling water around the roots for harvest or puting ice around the base of your plant before harvest.
