I am a big fan of the pan for my steaks as well, it gets a wee bit cold at times to stand outside in winterI usually cook my steak in a frying pan, especially in winter with the grill out of commission. When the steaks come out of the pan to rest, the onions and mushies go in to soak up all them tasty juices- that's half the reason for doing it in the first place!
