whats this whole thing about getting a hallogen work light and removing the lense anyone had experiance with it?

We already had a 62 page debate 9 months ago on UVB lighting to help trich production. Save time and just cruise that thread. Some people even gave them a try/ Half the crop getting UV light extra the other half not. I was one of these people. It is just another Snake Oil.

I was looking into this and it turns out there is 'crap' quality UVB and better UVB with higher intensity/focus....
312nm - Narrowband UVB is the expensive and effective 'sun replacement' that doesn't suntan/burn. I found a lot of expensive shit... But then there was the still expensive, but much cheaper NB-UVB lights on EBAY. When you search narrowband uvb, click the retailer for more items and check out his 'larger more powerful' UVB.
The cheapest is 260 USD and range to $500+ for higher wattage/more lights.
Can't see myself personally investing in this until I get a few grows under my belt and understand the art of growing more. However, I can see for someone growing personal/medical this would be a great addition, as you can also use this on your skin for medical benefits as well!

well you kinda have to grow the pot first in order to even have THC exist. so i would say its about both.Thats Right LOADS MORE THC!!!!!

i gave my plant 2, 10 minute burts yesterday my plant seems fine it smelt abit odd after tho :/ im gonna carry on till i notice any disturbance to the plant :']

it looks like its almost ready?? im glad your trying this but i dont think that 2 ten minute bursts would do anything to the plant for these reasons. In nature the sun is putting out UV rays all throughout the day not just at one certain time. Doing it in bursts like that could possibly shock it more than anything. The other thing is those UV bulbs stop putting out UV rays over time. The reptile ones at the pet store run completely out after 6 months run 12 hours a day. Thats what they advertise..but its probably less.
