Hi! First time grower here; I bought some Jillybean seeds and germinated one on Dec 2nd. I fed it with the 3 part Flora series through 18/6 vegetative stage. I kept it at 5.5-6.0 pH and 800-1300ppm. Changed water and nutes every 7-10 days, added as needed. Swapped to 12/12 flowering with a 315 CMH and and a T5 on Feb 4, and within 2 weeks swapped to Floranova Bloom with Liquid KoolBloom and a little Floralicious. Flowering has been awesome to watch. Recently upper leaves turned purple, stems turn red. I read that some purple is normal with Jillybean, especially if night time temps are lower. It is mid to high 70's with lights on, mid to low 60's with lights off. (on another note, these leaves don't look like other Jillybean I see posted on the net. Thoughts on that?) I need to add almost 1 gallon per day now, and ppm goes from 800-900 when refilled, up to 1300+ at the end of the next day when it's time to refill. I am wondering if I have a deficiency going on here with all the purple and some leaf spotting. One strange thing is that it is upper leaves turning purple, and I've read that a deficiency would show in lower leaves first. Basically I want to make sure it's not a deficiency, and I am nervous about bumping up ppm too much. Will I see burnt tips first if I go too strong with nutes? Anyone with Jillybean experience?
