Looks like my old setup (currently between grows) almost to the T...except you seem to be doing the grow method of hydroponics that I want to change to, which is a coco drain to waste. I liked your idea about using separate lowes buckets tipped upside down to let drainage runofff into, rather than those expensive flood trays. I'm guessing you drilled holes into the bottom of the buckets. do you use a resivour of some kind or hand water daily? I'm trying to figure out the cheapest but still very efficienciet way to grow in coco. Top notch grow setup btw. Here's mine,...fairly similar but different shaped rooms. I grew in soil but would like to change to coco. I'm just made an account....gotta update my profile I suppose

With those kind of pots with the big holes on the bottom edges I put plastic freezer bags or trash bags if it's big pots and poke holes through the bottom where the big holes are. That way the medium doesn't wash out as much. Also keeps the pots cleaner.

Very ingenious and very helpful tip. Sorry, didn't mean to steal your thread. I should start my own to ask questions about coco coir growing
