SATORI F2 X QUERKLE MALE PROJECT

because of my failed querkle male pollination I have lost my querkle stud

so after some thought and after weighing out the options from what genetics I already poses in either donor or seed form
ive decided to change the breeding plan

the new plan is now in reverse

im going to grow out some satoriF2 seeds and find a male keeper and cross it to everything else

the satori F2 male might actually be a better choice for a stud than the querkle anyway

full strength flower
per gallon

6ml boost
6mls bloom
1 mls awesome
2 ml magic
0.5 grams Epsom salt

veg

10 mls boost
5 mls grow
1 ml awesome
1 gram Epsom salt

to raise your EC/ppm mix it the same way with slightly less water
to lower your ppm mix it the same way using slightly more water

sugar daddy and thrive alive are optional and can be used as directed or at half strength....
personally I wouldn't use them in a hydro set up but theyre good for soil

Thank you!! why would you not want to run sugar daddy and thrive alive in hydro? does epsom salt replace something or enhance the magical? just glancing at this, im guessing an EC close to 1, is that the target?

target EC can range for many reasons

In my set up EC 1.2 is about perfect

EC1.5 would the the max (in my opinion) under any circumstance

EC 1.5 is too high for my set up but some systems may require more than me... feeding too high an EC will cause more problems than its worth and requiring constant/weekly flushing, your better off airing on the side of caution

Epsom salt adds magnesium and sulfur

I suggest using it because it will add additional magnesium

magical is proportionally more calcium than magnesium... therefore Epsom salt is a better source of magnesium, while magical is a good source of calcium with some a little added magnesium

think of magical in terms of "a primary source of calcium" and secondary source of magnesium
think of Epsom salt (aka magnesium sulfate) a as primary source of magnesium

in my opinion

sugar daddy and kelp

sugar daddy is actually sugar and your paying a good bit of money for sugar water (you could easily substitute it for molasses
meant to feed microbes and bacteria
if you run organic , or if your grow in soil, or MAYBE coco it can be useful

but if the eco environment is out of balance it will also feed bad bacteria and pathogens
that eco environment is easier to achieve in soil and easier again in organics

but as you start adding salt fertilizers and inert sterile mediums it can become a special talent to be able to use these products successfully

im not saying it cant be done, but me personally I wouldn't go that way using my rockwool cubes

kelp; or thrive alive
a small a mount might actually be good to help boost the iron but personally I prefer to spray it
its far more effective when sprayed and youll need much less...
adding too much to a reservoir (in my experience) can create more crud to develop in the reservoir...maybe use half whatever the bottle says

Not so fast there, pardner-

I've run well over EC 2.2 in RDWC and the plants told need they were still hungry.

I'm running EC 2.5 in early veg in Tupur Royal Gold right now and the plants are green as can be with no signs of nutrient burn. Friends have run over EC 4.0 in park bloom with amazing results.

It's all about the combo; nutes, strains, substrates AND environment.

There's no single magic formula.

When raising EC, in bloom phase for example, which component or base nute would you add above "recipe?"

most deficiencies are not actually deficiencies

there imbalances

in my opinion
if your feeding an EC2.0 and you see a def.
I would see an imbalance

its hard to imagine anyone growing pot feeding that high an EC having any reason to be def using a well balanced nutrient formula

the signs your diagnosing as def is actually lockout

This is 100% on point

No offense @ttystikk but I have yet to see any of your grows with leaf health that impressed :eyesmoke:
