I have a question about inconsistent light and dark periods.
My plant alternates between the window sill, where it gets 5-6 hours of direct sun a day (and a great view of the neighbors' plants), and the closet.
At first, I'd put the plant away at 8 PM and take it out at 8 AM religiously. But after some time, and due to oversleeping, I may have taken the plant out of the closet later, like even towards midday. The plant has sometimes gotten less than 12 hours of light (with only indirect light being interfered with). The only thing I make sure of is that it does not get less than 12 hours of darkness.
In other words, the 12/12 phase has been rather inconsistent, but only towards more darkness, never longer light periods.
My question is: Isn't that okay? If the plant if not thinking that darkness periods are getting shorter, why would it stress and start herming? Like I said, the period of direct light is never actually interfered with (it's from 11.30 am to around 6 PM), so I guess bud growth shouldn't be affected either. My plant has not hermed despite all this, and I'm on week 7 of flower (looks like this might actually need another month though).
So, yeah, that's just a lot of assumptions I'm making, but maybe someone who knows their shit might be able to confirm or deny with some scientific backing... or with experience.
Thanks y'all, nice to meet ya. /n00b
