Took the woman my dad married several years to become a citizen. She then left him. I told him that all she wanted. He wouldn't listen.

Its not automatic.


Its like the dude abandonconflict mentioned. That's messed up. Completing an enlistment honorably should grant citizenship automatically the day the person is discharged.

I understand what your saying, but having people roam free where ever they want in the world sounds chaotic
Now as far as finding and hunting em down an rounding em up and getting them out is ridiculous and extreme I and don't agree with it what so ever
There has to be some sort of control tho, you can't just fly to Europe and start working then be surprised when they find out you're an illegal alien and deport ya. You'd start the process of finding out how to become a citizen legally and follow up and do it legally
I believe that if you are an illegal alien and get caught with out legal or proper documentation you deserve to have some time to get your shit together and get some papers filled out or get sent back home.
Now actually searching for illegals and getting them out that shits fucked up

Fiancée visa
Work visa

I'm on a visitors visa but am almost finished with my adjustment of status

It's all really long
Boring dumbass process that sucks completely
They often make critical errors

But no you don't just get to become a citizen because you married one

So if I'm understanding this correctly .....an ((illegal)) can join our military and fight for our country ....yet can't have a drivers license or be a citizen .......if that's the case and I'm understanding the situation correctly ......shits way more fucked up than I even realized ......smh.....what a cluster fuck .......willing to go fight and possibly die for our country and they still get fucked ......pitiful

Maybe they simply shouldn't join then. If they aren't happy with the terms.

Your basically saying someone who wants to go fight for your freedom and country should be treated different because they weren't born here........so an illegals life is less important than an American citizens in your eyes ........you sound like a real winner
