Iso hash oil from mouldy buds

So...while drying my last harvest I noticed that the main cola had developed some bud rot,the bottom parts of the cola were still 100% ok,the middle was damaged beyond repair so I had to throw those lovely frosty ww buds in the trash (made me cry a lil on the inside).
Now here is the deal...the top part of the cola was slightly mouldy on the inside as well but there was no noticeable webbing or such,would I be able to safely do an iso extraction(which I presume would kill the live fungi) and then dab the resulting concentrate (which should kill the spores cause of the heat).
I'm also I light smoker so I wouldn't really like to have a even higher chance of lung cancer :P.
Any help on the topic would be appreciated ^^
 
Wash it with water while still fresh. You won't lose any significant amount of trichs. I spun the water off mine with a salad spinner and collected the water and filtered it and only got one small hit of trichs from 3 spinners full of bud.
 
A point people miss more than anything is simply this: mold isn't that bad for you if it's ingested. What's bad for you are mold spores you inhale. You really don't have to take any special precautions if you're making butter or edibles. However, anything...and I do mean ANYTHING...you're going to inhale into your lungs that has or has had mold on it is suspect.

Just don't do it. It's not worth the risk.

Edible that stuff and forget about it.

p.s. You can get lung cancer no matter how much you smoke. As a cancer survivor, I'll take this opportunity to beg you to quit.
 
Bud rot gray mold isn't toxic to my knowledge, just turns bud to mush. It washes right off though so why not? If it's just one bud with mold in one area I just spray on it with a spray bottle of deionized water until a bunch runs off. Cleans it right off.

Botrytis doesn't produce known aflatoxins and is the mold that vintners use to create noble rot Grand Cru wines. Some people do however have a Type 1 allergic reaction to the spores and filaments, so they need to be filtered out.

We trim off the bad spots and filter to 0.1 microns after extraction, to remove the spores, filaments, and any bacteria.
