Yeah I think that's what I'll do next run...1st time growing after a 8 years and asked the guy at the hydro store and he said just let the tap root show 3/4 inch and plant in soil and don't add nutes until around week 3 or 4
Nooo man
don't do that man, never wait for the tap to pop out, it's the ONLY root that can kill your plant if it's damaged.
soak em in 75 deg water until they "oyster"
plant as soon as the seed cracks

that mix will retain a LOT of moisture, may want to cut with more drainage
I love both vermiculite and compost but they both have excellent water retaining capabilities, which is great, but only if you are in a well drained media

Have you access to perlite where you are as @greasemonkeymann is correct in saying that it might waterlog roots with that mix you have repotted to.. can you put your cfls long ways ? and a bit closer as not much light hitting it.!

Edit: that's what RIU community is here for to learn& help.. good luck

no need to ever apologize for asking questions my friend.
you'd be better off in a smaller container too
I know its a lil late now, but you may need to start over again man
where are you at?
can you get any Bodhi seeds?
or dynasty?
I really like those two in specific

I also second this, As hard as it is to start over, sometimes it's best just to bite the bullet. if you do have to use peatmoss then if it is around your area i would look for expanding clay pellets and or perlite. mix in like 30-35% with the peat. Once peat is steadily moist it becomes a brick all stuck together, roots can't breathe when this happens. You said materials are hard to come by, Take it you're in the south? If you CAN get seeds with a good name behind them, I would try to do that. If confidentiality is an issue, use pre-paid cards etc..
