WEEK 9 of Flowering Leaves beginning to yellow... When to harvest?

Hi Guys,

I am currently in my 9th week of flower growing Dosido's and one Purple Platinum Kush (back far right) both from Midnight Farm's Clones.

The plants have been in a pretty stable climate of roughly 73-79 degrees Fahrenheit and roughly 56% humidity during veg and now about 50% humidity as I end the flowering.
I have been giving them a clean freshwater PH balanced flush for the past two weeks and plants were all transplanted into three gallon smart parts when flower was initiated 9 weeks ago. Nutrients have been full fox farm line. Soil has been fox farm ocean forest and added happy frog and perlite to soil. Other nutrients have been molases as well as Kelp Extract.

Questions:

The Two in the front of the grow tent are also both Dosido but they are not growing nearly as well as the other Dosido plant in the back left. Why is this? the growing conditions clearly must not be that different 2 foot away and since there is 900 watts of LED there is no spaces that are not getting sufficient light...

I was expecting my buds to swell more, the plants are about 2 and a half feet out of pots and all scrogged as you can see in the photos attached below. Let me know all your opinions as far as when to harvest, and will buds swell anymore than they already have?

Thanks!

It's hard to tell with the purple lights on, when they will be ready. As for the ones growing at a different pace..... we're they seeds or clones. Seeds can produce different phenotypes which will have different traits. Sorry I didn't really answer any of your questions.

900 watts or 9000 watts of led is irrelevant if the plant has it's leaves cut off. Couple that with feeding water only is probably why they haven't swelled like you thought they would.

Hi KryptoBud,
I should have phrased better, have been flushing the plants with fresh ph RO water for only last 2 weeks as I thought they were getting close to ready. Also the plant has no leaves cut off besides a couple growing in irrelevant places not in contact with the light. Plants have been run on full fox farm line of nutrients up to date with molasses feedings and kelp extract feedings as well.

They are clones and I suspected the phenotype hypothesis in the start of flowering but have now learned clones do not throw off different phenotypes. Any other suggestions?

I go at least 10 weeks for all my strains. Those buds look close to being done to me; I'd go probably another week or so & chop them. You gotta check the color of trichomes; only way to be sure buds are ripened to your preference. Not sure why all the hate nor why some plants are growing "better" than others but yield is governed by wattage and 900w of LED is not all that impressive. Just wondering why are you ph-ing straight water if you are growing in soil?

Dosido has some Girl Scout cookies in her. gSC are famous for their small rock hard
/ frosty nugs.

Your dosido looks right, they don't throw huge fat nugs.

Buds look almost done. I would check the trichs. I like waiting till the lower nugs fill out too.

I would bet I could coax some more out of those plants...The "flush" shit is hurting his max potential yield!

On another note - 2 cents more....

I harvest some strains in a progressive manor.....I have 4 91 chem's sitting under the lights waiting for the 3rd and final harvest.....The buds ripen and fill out better, amber and then harvest.....about 10 - 14 days between harvests.....Overall quality remains even and actually the later harvest produce stronger/more potent nugs.....

Strains that run more "open" tend to fill out and finish far more evenly.....Like this for lowers.

That's smart, I may try that and split up the harvest on a plant coming up.

Those lowers look good Doc!

Ya know what? I just thought of this.....don't mean much but, some folks like to figure for this. 4 plants that will hit at just about 32+ zips total......(ran them kinda short this run) and it will still hit at .9 grams a watt.......Not bad for a 1K = 2lbs.....

I was PH balancing my RO water for flush because I have been under the impression that it is all around benefeficial to be feeding your plant everything and anything to help with root health.

Hell yeah, well I will stop the flush immediately then. Does the flush really not do anything beneficial to the plant?

There's no need to adjust ph of your water be it RO or otherwise if you are growing in a bagged soil like FFOF. The soil itself regulates the ph. Adjusting the water does nothing but use up your ph down. I know I did the same thing for a long time myself when I started out. If you grow in soil then ph should be pretty much a non-issue.
If you gave your plants nutrients give them water for the final weeks. Some call this a flush period; I call it watering your plants. If you used the nutes correctly you should not ever need to "do a flush."

Not flush, leach. And no, unless you're a cheap ass coco grower like me, who will reuse it, It's a detriment. Of course I leach after the plant has been chopped.:bigjoint:
