I have read most of info here on JACKS..but nost pertains to growing in hydro,,,not in soil outside...

Little info on my set up...

I have 5 raised beds..5x20 feet ..12 inches high...I been growing organic for a long time...i am getting older now an its a lot of work ..now I just want to use a powered nute that gets the job done in a good way...

My soil is 90% compost..rest is worm castings an ancient forest and Coast of Maine lobster compot..its also ammened with kelp meal...basalt fines...and powdered leonardite shale for the humic an fklvic compounds...each bed has 1000 red wigglers in it also..well more now since they have bred nicely in the soil...

now i want to use jacks instead of all organic ferts...i was making 100 gallons of tea a week..lots of work..

now I have on hand ...Citrus feed an Aqua Gold finisher by jacks...now i want to know what you all think my mix ratio should be...I was thinking...

1/2 tps of the citrus for each gallon of water
1/2 tsp of the aqua gold to a gallon of water

1 tsp of epsom salt to 5 gallons of water..

does sound about right..if not give me your ideas...

I will still be using my kelp an silica as a drench or foliar spray...thats a given..

If any one has used this in soil..I am happy to hear what you think an how you used it...

looks like no one uses this outdoors...well I hot my citrus feed...got 3 tubs of it since was on sale...10.00 for the big tub..was a close out actually...now i am going to a green house supply to get the Aqua gold finisher..was 35.00 a bag..I dont think I will need the calnit for outdoors...as the beds were heavily limed after last years harvest..but I will add cal mag or espom as needed...I grow in compost...;last year i had some 12 footers ...i use alot of lobster compost also...from coast of maine..stuff is the best...adds chitin also...my soil was just ammended with espoma fertilizer to activate it...and a bit of lime also...and kelp meal an alfalfa meal...each bed has a ton of worms as seen when i tilled it...

Fortified organic soil only needs nutrient tea as a correction. Synthetic nutes like Jacks are unnecessary and will alter the soil biology.
Why not just grow organic and top dress every month with something like Epsoma Tomato Tone? That's my plan for the outdoor grow this year.

I'm still deciding how to go about using the epsoma products. I can only grow autos outdoors because of my neighbors lights. Any suggestions for using epsoma on autos?

I ran just the citrus (only) with tap water last year and was impressed. Much the same reason, getting too old for anything involving my back :( I run them in containers and have to keep them somewhat small for stealth (not legal yet).

You may want to start a little lighter as you have fairly hot soil already. I was using 1/2 tsp per gallon all the way through and they were pretty happy, some of the best tasting outdoor I've had for a while (good year for sun last summer here).

Sorry, I've never grown autos.
But since you know when they are going to finish, you could just back off the Epsoma Tomato Tone & add a little langbeinite to give em a nice flavor & aroma.

This is a case of "shit or get off the pot". Either grow organic, or use promix HP + Jacks citrus.
Using synthetic nutes with organic soil sounds like a problem waiting to happen, unless you just switch at the end for more control after the soil is spent.

I've been growing for 35 years and you're giving me advice on how to grow my plants. Did I sound like I was asking for an opinion from you, or did I miss something? I was answering ops question, perhaps you should provide some answers appropriate to the thread, or go...
