Choosing a Nutrient

Morning everyone.

As s Canadian I am a bit challenged for locating dry nutes.

I am interested in Jacks Citrus but I am a very DIY kind of guy and would love the ability to make my own nutrients.

Does anyone in Canada make their own and have sources for the ingredients?

I go away sometimes for 5 or 6 days so I need stable ph.

This is where I'm unsure if dry nutes will work.

I have looked at AN for the PH stability but it is so damn expensive.

I like liquids better for ease of mixing up different EC's for different stages of the plant. GH flora, flora nova, flora duo and DynaGro foliage pro are all very pH stable and way cheaper than AN.

if you're a chemistry buff, you can by stuff from several chemical warehouses and mix things for yourself, but i'm not sure of the availability of chelated elements, if you use raw elements you can have crazy ph problems, the whole purpose of chelation is to make those nutrients available within a certain ph range, and to prevent precipitation from the interaction of certain nutrients. without chelation, that ph range is much wider, and makes it a lot easier to get lockouts. if you get non chelated iron, it will form a precipitate with P and neither will be available to your plant, even though you added more than enough...
