According to some here, I harvested my Sativa (not much doubt of it's origins) too early. However I was looking for the more cerebral/mentallly stimulating high. I harvested at around 9 weeks. Most of the pistils were still white, and the trichs were 50/50 milky/clear with a few amber ones in there. I might let them go
JUST A BIT longer next time, but I'm definately on to something here. Everyone who has sampled my last grow commented how nice the high was.
I was not disappointed. It is a great high. I much prefer it over the "couch-glue" dope going around, and so do most of my friends. (They are hounding me to start growing
)
If you got one of those Radio Shack pocket microscopes, clip one of those little leaflet things off a bud and take a look under the scope. You'll see what they are talking about. You can't hardly mistake it. The trichs (trichomes) will be either clear, cloudy/milky, or amber. The more amber the trichs, the more couch glue you're gonna get.
Having only my last grow under my belt, you may want to get more opinions, but believe me, there is a world of difference in the high you get between harvesting earlier or later within the ideal harvest window.
