Ventilation is not something I'm very confident about, though I'm aware something needs to be done about it. Can you recommend a relatively cheap, reliable ventilation set up?
Left and Right are CFL and front and back are "grow lights" I added because I had bought them for something else before and thought it wouldn't hurt.
they move air, when it necessary to move more air you could get more fans or bigger ones, you'll want to exchange the air in the tent using one of the vents if you keep the zipper closed full time, sucking out will do it, but then odors may bug you too, then its time for a stink sock, a larger fan to draw=200bucks ish...then pests come, then you realize cheap ferts are difficult to work with and will want a system thats friendlier. then comes flower, more heat, more humidity, you may want to use a dehumidifier to control it or risk moldy buds. I lucked out and started with the whole programs, every bit and more than I needed, settled on pro mix organicare fertilizer and water for my win.
Noted. Assuming I've taken out the grow lights, do you reckon those 2 CFLs are powerful enough? I was thinking not so much and I might have to get bigger ones. I'm also worried about the placement of them, as I'm not sure there is enough spread. I'm not planning on my next crop being so tall. These plants were just an experiment and were already that size when I put them in there a couple days ago.
I'm assuming that a good air flow prevents fungus and mold for the most part? The room is tiny and so I don't need to close the front; even coming into winter and small heat source will work wonders for the whole room. What I've always had a problem with when growing things is bugs. I get aphids and these funny black things that stick onto the trunks. There are always ants that keep perfectly still around these black lumps and it's creepy as hell and I have no idea what they are or if they're even dangerous for my plants.

If it were me I would try to at least use t5's. You can find the fixtures pretty easily on ebay or used from hydro stores or craigs list.
But if you still have 2 sockets hanging, why not put cfl's in those also?
I've never heard of T-5 lights before but upon Googling it I see you get both Fluorescent and LED T-5 lights. Is there any reason to use one over the other? Something tells me LEDs wont do the trick for reasons I'm unaware of...
Personally, I would use the T-5 CFL's over an led T-5. TBH, I haven't even heard much about a T-5 LED. If you want an LED, there are some good ones on the market, but for a pretty penny.
Thank goodness the ones I got weren't too expensive then
