I'm back, as if anyone gives a shit, I almost puked, but I didn't want to waste the Jameson's that I have drank since I have read the news
Fuck alternative energy sources, like solar, or wind, we don't need those stinking jobs, that are the future of this nation of fools, well some fools, (NOT THE FUCKING MAJORITY) that elected that motherfucking PIECE OF SHIT
I can't wait for all the Trump supporters on this site to defend this action, to REALLY show their STUPIDITY May they get Black Lung disease and their families get sick due to respiratory illnesses, because they voted for Trump and will deserve it.
Impeach that mad man before he kill's us all, and the world as we know it

He can't unilaterally remove the US from a treaty that has been ratified by congress. It will have to be approved by congress and even then the accords, by Trumps own admission, will take four years for the US to pull out of. None of these are insurmountable obstacles. They give us time to stop him.

That said, it's a good day for Bannon.

Was it ever properly ratified to begin with? If not, Trump can pull us right out on his own.

What with the dreadfully illegal Muslim ban your kind love and support, it probably doesn't matter to your ilk but here are the details that I'm sure you don't understand:

http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/energy-environment/334973-senate-deserves-right-of-refusal-on-paris-agreement

The State Department defines a treaty as "a formal, written agreement between sovereign states or between states and international organizations." While the Supreme Court has ruled that some international agreements don't need Senate ratification, the Paris agreement should be considered a treaty and treated as such.

Senate ratification is a critical component of the Constitution's checks and balances among the three branches of government. The process is meant to ensure that wide support exists for international agreements committing the U.S. to take certain actions or expend financial resources.

President Obama ignored the ratification process for the Paris agreement (not to mention others) because he knew the treaty did not have the support of two-thirds of the Senate — nor even a majority, for that matter. So he decided to self-ratify the agreement instead.

Obama didn't submit the treaty to Congress and he ratified it himself. He also didn't ask for financial resources or commit the US to take actions that would require Congressional approval. This was all a legalistic maneuver to position the US for a role in the changing world economy as it moves away from fossil fuels. It was the best move he could make for the US. Failure to honor the agreement will prompt lawsuits from rational people to test the legality of the presidential ratified treaty. Legal battles like this can take decades. Republican's tits are in a wringer. Can't just walk away, can't just say won't do it. Can cause a lot of harm to the US's standing in the world and to our own industries. Really, this is a dumb move on Trump's part.

The best legal way for Trump to end this treaty would be to submit it to Congress for ratification. Would surely end the treaty. Would also give a bitter edge to the ax held over some Republican Congressional representative's necks.

why would any liberal be crying over this when we will re-enter the accord before our withdrawal can even take effect?

Anyway, it will take 3 years before before the US can officially withdraw, and by that time Trump will either be impeached, or in a mental hospital.. He is already freaking out. Give him 1 more year, and he will have totally lost his mind, or hopefully be hung for treason

Trump was right to get us free from a terrible economic deal. Hussein Osama got us into a terrible economic deal, paying for 3rd World country's emission remedies.

America first with Trump. The rest of the world can just be jealous.

We are now free from the apologist policies of the Osama administration.

As Trump said, we can now jump back into the Paris Accord, at fair cost to the US, without apologizing like Osama planned.
