I have both lights adjusted to 270 watts at the wall and the tops of the plants are receiving about 500 umoles at about 24".
You noticed the growth in under 3 days I take it, these CunFusion clones aren't crazy stretchers either. You get crazy growth with these Octopots, that's for sure.Stunning !
I'm going to order an octopot this weekend to try out thanks for the feedback
Yes sir you can't unsee it lol.You noticed the growth in under 3 days I take it, these CunFusion clones aren't crazy stretchers either. You get crazy growth with these Octopots, that's for sure.
I added float valves to the octopot res and added a 13 gal res for every two octopots, can leave things unattended for over a week in heavy flower now.Yes sir you can't unsee it lol.
This will put an end to my frequent waterings I think if I connect a res to a couple in each tent. My 5 gallon SIP's work great but the small water capacity means watering every day or two once the girls explode and roots hit res .............
That's my plan as well but like anything new need to get a unit and test it. After a lot of reading and feedback from you and some folks who use "autopots" I decided the 6 gallon octo pot would fit me and my grow and way of growing better. Despite a slightly higher cost per unit.I added float valves to the octopot res and added a 13 gal res for every two octopots, can leave things unattended for over a week in heavy flower now.
First water is from the top then through the res after that. Can't fill the res until the plant establishes some more roots. If you fill the res too soon the plant will droop and look over watered, so small waterings at first through the res till the plant is established. That's my plan as well but like anything new need to get a unit and test it. I'm excited
Perfect I have a couple of pumps here will get some of those sticks if my 4" disc is too muchOh I also use two 6" stick style air stones in the res with a small two outlet air pump, highly recommended.
Same as I do with my DIY SIP's perfect!First water is from the top then through the res after that. Can't fill the res until the plant establishes some more roots. I have the adjustable ones from active aqua and have a few I ran in DWC buckets one per it should do just fine for the res on the octopot as it can be dialed down or up we will see in the near future. The only problem I've heard of is if you try to use a large air pump for a bunch of octopots the pump will warm up the res.
It's fairly new, two parts and cheap to use, I've never had whiter healthier looking roots.Wow ok cool will look that product up have not heard of it. Is it something like hydroguard?
Fantastic TY for the info and linkIt's fairly new, two parts and cheap to use, I've never had whiter healthier looking roots.

You start it however you'd like I have an auto finishing in one of my DIY buckets that I started the seed in it. As you get more than one grow with the system regardless of brand or diy, you will learn when the roots hit because you see the explosive growth in the plants and they go through a burst where they almost grow faster than they can feed then it's like they catch themselves lol. If you look at Capt's pics above look at the lighter green closer to the center of where the bud sights will be this is not a deficiency this is the plant trying to keep up feeding itself with how fast it's growing. But it is critical as was mentioned previously to make sure the plant establishes itself well before leaving it on it's own to water itself.I'm really tempted to try those octopots/sip buckets but i am still confused by one thing...how does one start a grow in them from seed? Was thinking about putting one fastbud to test it but i'm still confused by it...Do you just germinate and put it in and water once or do you veg them in a smaller pot and water once after transplant? Also when do you fill the tank with water?Just can't figure out what's the best way to start so any advice would be appreciated
