The Truth About Flushing

Ooh! Thanks! That would be very appreciated!
What ones are you looking at?

I looked at the Colorado's and am sitting on the fence a bit yet.....
Not sure, but once I decide to make the jump, I'll go full "OCD" on it until I find the right one. Might even try out a few in a "Pepsi Challenge". I'll check out those "Colorados" (link?).

I still use CDMs', the old philips 400 watt CDMs', My T-5s' sit here collecting dust, don't even use them for cloning anymore. They may get a hobby grower by, but not a serious gardener.

I have come to the same conclusion. I am ditching the t-5's in my veg tent and putting the new 315 LEC sun system reflector in there.

I think they are just slowing things down and I can grow a better plant. They served their purpose though.

As a veg light for a small plant.

Here's some more entertainment for ya, I grew with CMH for years before switchin to T5's and you would be wrong 8)

Yeah. T-5's are soft and slow. Easy to keep up with the plants and there won't be much plant to deal with in your short cycle you like to avoid problems.

Good perpetual beginner setup for you. Even the cdm's were a little too intense for you. Good thing you don't use hps.

And while you argue how great office and Harper aquarium lighting is what happened to the awesome LED you designed with the Chinese builder?

You said it would blow the fluorescent tubes away. I want one. Where is it big time breeder? Big time innovator. Lol.

Show everyone here your ad! They want to see!

Let's hope that he's not "seeing red".

I've been thinking about trying out those 315's. Use 600w blue Ushios right now (off dimmed Digistar's and Galaxy Grow Amps). If I get them before you do, I'll share my impressions regarding the type of growth that they promote.

Staying on topic, if they turn out to be shit, they'll get "the flush".

Growers house has the proper vertical mount remote reflector and a galaxy dimmable low frequency ballast. I got those and the Phillips bulb under $350 there.

It doesn't compete by itself with my 600 w loaded blockbuster hoods but it is impressive in a 2.5 x2.5 foot print.

I am trying it in a 3x3 veg tent next. To replace t-5's.

I thought that the 315's were more efficient/effective mounted vertically in the hood? One reason the 630 (two 315's in the same hood, mounted horizontally) wasn't as efficient/effective (the other being "spread" by two separate 315 hoods).

The 630 fixtures are available with 2 single ended 315's or now there is a double ended bulb like de hps bulbs are made. Different lamp.

T5's are ok for seedlings, but greater light intensity will speed up veg for sure. You'll also see a big difference in bloom (coming from a more intense light VS T5),

Boulder was the one that started with the special square wave ballasts - more effective and supposedly better spectrum....

Yeah, Boulder. No pricing listed - notice on homepage that financing is available......

It's the fucking cost of this shit that piss's me off! Why should we spend that kind off money with other solutions to the problem?

@MichiganMedGrower

Got some suggestions at what CDMH brands to look at? Square wave ballasts?

Whats your suggestions Odin?

I don't have a problem, everything is as smooth as butter. I just like trying out new things. I don't jump "blindly", but if there is enough reason to try, I figure "why not.

Always trying new things, but I'm pretty much doing to same that I have the whole time. I even test out these "perfectly formulated" nutes, but they turn out to be not so "perfect".

I don't use them for bloom. I use a 600w hps and a 600w mh in a 3.5'x7' area. I ran the 315 in there with them in an additional 3x3 area next to them all winter to test.

Sun system LEC remote reflector on right. Run on Galaxy square wave dimmable ballast.

Took me a year of reading and hesitation before I bought the LEC. Lol.

That's what I was saying. Use a more intense veg light (than T5) and you will see a vast difference in how they flower.

I was saying above growers house had many options. Even their own brand ballast. Prism.

I got the sun system remote reflector. Phillips 3k bulb and a galaxy square wave dimmable ballast under 350.

I have used 400 mh 600 and 400 hps and fluorescent to veg.

I obviously got beefier plants in a shorter time with hid.

I have no problem with the results of t-5. Just that they are slow and soft in intensity and I want more plant in a shorter time. I need 8 weeks under the t-5 to keep up my average and only 5-6 with mh.

I have high expectations for the ceramic mh in the 3x3.

I run a perpetual planting and harvesting every week or two.
