Most investments do the same.
You can invest where you like.

I just wanted to share what my family has been successful with. I'm just not interested in the headache of renting or leasing to anyone. Maybe one day, until then I have other projects I find are more helpful for future generations.

If heat is needed for respiration than it is not wasted.

LED do not radiate heat the same as HID which is why people offset this by using higher ambient temps.

HID uses lower ambient temps because it radiates heat.

Place your hand under a HID, you cannot get it as close to the light emission as you can LED without burning.

I was staking no claims nor blackening anybody else's eye. Just making a simple pronouncement. As I drink my first cup of Joe as we Americans used to say way back in the early 20th century like around the time when Germany was threatening to rub out your great country of England and America was your number 1 pal right. That could be a yardstick for measurement as well as they fact that everybody and his brother from another mother want's to come to America some to work, live and love and others to kill us. That mate is irrefutable!
meh..id rather be on Santorini.

I saw a program awhile back. It was asking workers in Italy i believe if they would like to live and work in America. Once they were told the work hrs, pay, and holiday pay arrangement (this country received 2 months paid holiday a year) their..they were shocked and thought the presenter was kidding.
They then reliesed that due to their longer lunch breaks (they even get to go home and have a proper cooked family lunch- everyday, pay, working conditions and holidays..they had it better..

My point is that we all like to think that were we live is "the best". Some people who think that have never owned a passport so have no clue on what to even base this on.

I have traveled a little bit and have no desire to go to mainland America, even on holiday. There are so many unique and different placers to travel to.

I have no dought that America was once the land of acceptance and opportunity, after WW2. Now it seems its resting on its past, intimidating other countries due to its military and economic might and ignoring its own citizens in the process.
But to say that everyone wants to live, work or visit (even to kill you) is plain wrong. That died years ago- stop living in the past.

I should also add that the US came into the war 2 years after it started. If I remember correctly the US entered the war when Pearl Harbour was bombed?
Up until that point the US lent/leased equipment to the UK, Russia and China I believe. Therefore making a huge profit from the war up until that point.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very glad that the US did help us out but it wasn't blindly doing so, it wanted it's pound of flesh (profit) for doing so.
Americans tent to forget this. They ONLY entered the war due to Pearl Harbour. Made billions and was the only country in the world (??)which was not financially fkd at the end of it. England and Australia lived on food rations for years and years after the end.

They had to intention of helping France (who gave them their country) let alone anyone else.

Strangely enough, America is even making it harder for its own citizens to leave.

I remember up until about 1980, America was indeed seen as the standard of the world and was nearly universally respected.

That was 40 years ago, and many dirty wars. Meanwhile, our standard of living has been slipping to the latest rank of 19th. The excuses grow, along with the number of millionaires and billionaires. Funny how that number never comes close to outpacing the growth in the number of poor Americans, even homeless.

This country is in a world of hurt. The Left knows it, the Right knows it. Our prescriptions differ.

I'm on the side of the Left, mainly because we've been trying various increasingly right wing prescriptions for that same 40 year span and things have gone from good to bad to worse.

The timing of these two sets of events isn't coincidental.

Real estate follows inflation.
It can do, but supply and demand mostly. Its also seen as a sfaer option over shares so in a downward trend some place the money into RE, and good old Gold of cause.

For an example look at RE pricers in Sydney. Growing at huge %, far outstripping inflation. Demand to buy there is very strong. Availability for land is low due to its geographical location. Its bordered by Ocean and national parks on all sides.

The Right in America seems to be a lot more to the Right than it used to be. Its more what id call Nationalistic than Conservative.

Perhaps having the Conservative members get their party back may help.

Nationalistic with strong tendencies towards outright fascism. The rest of the world is right to be wary of the US.

The moderates and Progressives oppose them but we are no longer a democracy; money has taken over our political system and the extreme tendencies of the ultra rich are coming to the fore.

I hope America survives this dark period but I'm no longer optimistic.
