I recently purchased some supplies for a CFL box.

1] 39 gallon rubbermaid box.
2] Light fixture (4 lights)
3] Two CFL splitters for light 1,4 on light fixture
4] 2 42 watt, 5500k
5] 4 23 watt, 5500k
6] Fan that hooks up to 110 with an extension cord tapped onto it. Fire hazard but I trust my saldering job and my power surge. :D
7] 1" PVC pipe for passive intake
8] Emergency blanket
9] Timer

--------- Does this sound like it will work? How about those lights for veg?
I plan on growing three plants.

ya sounds like a good plan, those 5500k lights will be great for veg, but you might wanna swap a couple out with warmer temps like 2-3000k for flowering... but you dont have to worry bout that yet Best of luck

btw i have 4 lights and a fan wired in series to the same extension cord (120v) and its been running fine for 3 wks. but its still on my mind when i leave for a weekend lol

Wire them parallel. If one goes, they all go when they're in series. They also don't see the same voltage.

This may sound stupid but...emergency blanket? Like for a fire? is there a great potential for this? Im going with cfls and i wont be here to moniter them all day. is there away i might set my shit on fire?

my bad ceestyle is right i wired them in parallel, link all positives together and then link all negs together. thanks for the correction meatwad

rooter he is using the fire blanket cause it is a highly reflective material not beacuse his shit will turn into aushwitz... atleast hopefully not... that would suck

Whew!!! thanks for the clarity, ive only heard it as mylar, but i almost dropped a nut at the idea of screwing up my wire job and burning down my place. lol
