Over or under watered?

Hi everyone.
Can't tell if these are over or under watered. I had a fungus gnat issue, so I really tried to dry out the soil between waterings. When I rewatered the soil, most of the plants started looking like this. And I am not watering until the cup feels light. Some of the leaves are a little more pale in color.
Running 2 600W MH lights. Temp at 78 humidity 50-55.

are there holes right in the bottom of the cup? If you have Gnats you will want the bottoms to drain all the way. This might be academic and not a problem for you but this is what I see here. The plants look pretty happy, the yellow leaf is probably the result of root damage from the gnats. I would pull one out of the cup and have a look at the roots.
 
Those are good conditions save some energy and use 1 light for now if that is all of em.
Doesn't look like ur watering is wrong to me

There are probably about 20 holes on the bottom of the cup as well as the ones you see around the base. I'll take one out to look. What would I see with the roots if the gnats damaged them?

IMO it's time to pot those up my friend ...as far as your watering question .....overwatered plants look droopy and heavy and in severe situations the leafs will be curled inwards and look abnormal.....usually when it gets that bad it's poor drainage in soil in my experience ......an under watered plant looks wilted and lifeless ...literally just hanging straight down due to lack of water .....under watered plants actually look far worse than overwatered plant visually .....BUT, an under watered wilted plant that looks terrible ...will actually bounce back after getting water rite before your eyes .....problem solved ......an overwatered plant will grow much slower and the droop will gradually get worse and worse if not corrected ....hope that's not to confusing

Your plants look ok ...if it were me I'd pot em up and practice good watering habits.


In my greenhouses il actually let my girls start to wilt to get my watering schedule down .....once I see the leafs going limp and lifeless looking ...I just water a day prior to that .....GL
 
3% hrdogen peroxide diluted with water will airate ur soil ad kill the eggs of ur fungus bugs there is an endless amount of reading n the subject
 
I'll take a pic of the roots shortly. I cannot use hydrogen peroxide as I am using a TLO soil. I do not want to kill the good micro life which the hydrogen peroxide will do. I do not have a complete infestation and I have only noticed one or two flies left in the room

Your plants look ok ...if it were me I'd pot em up and practice good watering habits.

Some good advice right here. That is a great habit to get into I call it "reading" ur garden.

Gotcha, that is a late infestation remedy. If it's early the a small layer of sand on the top works well they can't lay eggs as well
 
I always rip or cut the sides where the roots are thick some people do and some don't I personally have been forever I can't remember a time when I didn't

id understand it if they started growing around the sides but his roots dont seem to need it
