i googled it...i dont know what to think about Flower enhancers/boosts and things at the mo...i need to drop em completely to find out. Triacontanol is a natural PGR worth looking into. i have just ordered another 5 litres of boost tho...£180...lol

This is an insulation issue, not a lighting problem.

Some of the old chaps are indeed stuck in their ways Lukio, stubborn old gits some them, but then that is their god given right. But the majority of people don't say any such thing as "LED's are shit".

And you dislike me more so because I actually do like QB's, but make some good points on why other light sources might be a better option in some circumstances.

Your resolve to a group that you say needed educating but did not just bow to you was to call them names, tell them they use shit and jog on. Your not angry at them, your gutted you didn't think before you acted.

I did wonder if you ever thought about who you might be telling your "Facts" to?.. Did you ever think that you may be speaking to someone that has been working in the industry for 20 years or more?.. Did you ever consider you might actually be insulting people by assuming you knew more than them with your whole ONE YEAR's experience?

You went from HID to your Budmaster to Quantum Boards in less than a year did you not?.. And then you tell everyone your qualified to call their equipment shit and that QB's rule the world and should be used over every other lighting source in every given situation.

You brought it on yourself dude, nothing to do with anyone else.

ive been growing 4/5 years and in that time ive learnt more about lighting than all of uk420, thats not my fault. They never had a decent argument against why leds dont work - not once. They didnt like the new guy that knew more about lighting than them. lol

That sums up what happened. i didnt call anyone names - i left after calling arthur out, thats it. He tried saying Vitaly was bullshitting.

I don't think you will gain several degrees C with extra insulation.

Regardless of which lights you use in the colder months you will have to keep your temps up with heating?.. Adding insulation wont change that. If you insulate a house you still need heating when its cold. Insulation keeps heat in and out, it doesn't change the temp of a grow environment.

Middle of winter, lights on. If LED's run as cool as users say you will need extra heat regardless of how well insulated the grow area is.

Might get away with lowering extraction. But again I don't think you will gain the extra temps by doing so.

Unless @lukio photoshops his pics, his grows are better than mine after 12 years of growing and mine are better than 90% of the grows I've seen either in the flesh or on the web.
People follow his stuff coz he's proved he knows his stuff! I read someone on the other site compare a Plantphotonics LED to an electric potato peeler! Pp make some of the best hand assembled LED you can buy, that's the mentality of some of the members!
