Plant growing around twist tie

Three weeks ago, I was lsting my plant. I ended up splitting the plant in half where I topped it. I put a twist tie around the plant to hold it together. Now the stalk is growing around the twist tie. The plant seems healthy other than that. Should I attempt to cut it off or just leave it? I'm worried ir's going to choke the plant.

Ouch should have removed it once it was healed. I'd try and remove it, looks like you have access to it, any slight damage removing it will heal up.

Looks no worse for wear, nice clean/healed are. Who knows if it would have affected it but it's not needed so not worth taking the chance imo.

good news is it is healthy behind the tie... you got lucky for sure

if you left it on it would have eventually killed/choked the growth above it
