So I just found a super random looking bug on my plant, was the only one I could find. It was smaller than a house fly, but bigger than a thrip/aphid-had an almost owl like camouflage coloring (brown/white/black). I killed the fucker before grabbing a pic, but from what I've read/seen the only thing I could guess at would be a Barnacle or Scale insect. If this is literally the only one I've found, how much of a concern is it to my plant, and should I try something to correct a possible issue?
i just don't want to create a problem by treating something that isn't an issue. I did come across a random clump of white-around where the bug was found, but a day or two earlier. This pic seems to associate the clump with barnacle bugs.
Can anyone tell me what may be going on here?? This is only my second plant so I know I've got a lot to learn with this all still.
Thanks all
