Hairs All White but Trichs Cloudy, Time to Harvest?

I posted some pictures and a video of what the trichs on my plant look like. Any one out there could look at them and verify that they do look cloudy and it's time for harvest?

Almost all the hairs on the buds are white right now (this is the hairs not the trichs). But AFAIK what really matters is the state of the trichs, right?

I try to harvest anywhere between 20 to 50% amber, if your growing a white strain its not unusual for it to stay mostly white.

Me personally would aim for more amber, but i like a strong body high.

Can you tell by the pictures that the trichs are cloudy, or are they supposed to be even cloudier? I don't know if you noticed but a very few of them were completely amber and shriveled.

The pieces I took the pics from were handled with that in mind, I literally cut them with scissors and used a pair of tweezers to handle it. And took the pics within 10 mins from the time I cut them.

Does any of that matter?

They look cloudy with id say about 10% amber. You could harvest this and get stoned no problem.

Now if your really clueless on what to do just cut off a bud quick dry and smoke. If you like the high cut it down, if you dont let it go for another week and try again.

Not that I'm in a hurry or anything, quite the opposite. I don't wanna overshoot and harvest too late, I wanna get it at the sweet spot (kinda arrogant for a first timer, but hey).

So, should I wait a few more days and check the trichs again?

What's the easiest way to get a small nug off the plant and dry it and smoke it? To follow your great advicekiss-ass

Wait another week and then check again.

Just cut a nug it dont matter, now i would dry it under my hps by hanging it under there with a string. Since you grow outside i would place a piece of paper over a lamp and lay the bud on that the heat will dry it quick....couple hours. Just so you know this is not the best way to dry your bud!!

I just dried up a little nug on a headlamp, and smoked a small bowl. It wasn't the tastiest smoke ever, but it wasn't the worst at all.

I got a head high so intense, that it's hard to type (haven't had such high in a decade at least). I was damn skeptical about the quality an amateur can grow.

Damn I was wrong, I'm a total newbie when it comes to growing, and this is the strongest weed I've smoked in ages. And I don't buy shitty weed, as it ends up costing me more anyway.

Fucking A, 20 mins and still high :D

Never said it would taste good!!

Atleast now you have a good idea whats up with your plant. Differnt pple like differnt highs.

I know someone that grows outside and he always harvest around the 2nd week of october. I guess its related to where your at on the globe.

If your impressed by your bag seed, try getting some great strains for your next grow.

You got it right, the hairs don't mean anything. The trichomes are what tell you how far along a plant is. Yours look all cloudy to me. I didn't see anything that looked amber. If you like a real uppity high cut it now, but do it in the early morning, right before sun-up. Hang it up and let it dry out good, then cure the buds and you'll have some smooth, great tasting weed there fella. Great job!
