So here is how this will work everyone +rep the person below you that keeps it a bit more random also it keeps you coming back so light your joint and start spreading the love around

Also if you cant +rep the person below you for any reason +rep the next person down in the list

lol, that's not fair, asking an old rep whore to explain why rep whorin is wrong....

Ok, it's wrong because Rollitup put a lot of work into fixing the rep system, so that we could use it as a way of knowing who knows there shit around here. Plus, people who "worked hard for their rep" don't like to see some newbie get more rep bars than they have.

I argued that it's kinda an excuse to be lazy. Because if you really want to know if someone knows there shit, you should read their posts.

Plus there's the fact that people give rep for things other than grow help. I've gotten a shit load of rep for making people laugh. Or just making a good point in an argument.

Obviously I don't completely agree with the anit-rep whore movement, I'm just letting you know.

the vast majority of us here have EARNED our rep.... it USED to be a fairly accurate way of judging how much stock to put into what someone says.... now it just means you have friends...

I tend not to rep friends for the simple fact that people already know my friends are the shit lol I tend more to rep random people just because

i dont understand why you dont get any points when new memebers give you rep. i answer newbs questions all the time and get tons of rep but none of it ever counts because they all have like 5 posts lol i dont even have 100 yet

I've been told that it counts once they get enough rep to have rep to give. Like it stays blank until they reach that point, then you get the rep points they gave you before. Like a marker.

yeah thats what i remember reading. but i dont think they count until you hit 100 rep. and i got 1400+ posts and dont even have 100 yet haha. im sure most of the people that rep me will never even get to 100 themselves so it seems kinda pointless...
