Good lighting for 1 plant

Good for veg, but not so good for bloom - at that height.

I use them with 7ft ceilings with absolutely no problem. Great for veg and flower.

While I run a bit taller (3ft). It's still being found that they aren't the rats ass for bloom....
I'm still going to get a 315 set and use it for veg...you know I'll try it for bloom anyway.....

Must say, I'm not exactly clear on the bloom argument thing. I am hearing that from a lot of folks as of late. Several in our little co-op too(They have had them for quite awhile). I'll ask why...

Not really worried about heat because it's in the basement and it's actually 20 ft wide just didn't say that cause that would be a weird measurement .basically it's a 3ft wide space that runs behind a wall

Also my first grow had 4 23w cfl and 4 100w equivalent led bulbs and was surprised how well the buds turned out. Im just looking to bring my lighting up another notch

Commercially, DE is better than CMH. Lower start up cost. Higher yield per square foot.

Hobby wise, or small grows, CMH is better. It's the most energy efficient (Par-watts) on the market.

If you need to max out a yield in your space. DE. (Commercial)

If you want to be able to use all your space and have a power bill low enough to fly under the radar. CMH. (Home grows)

DE and CMH we're just taking off a few years back when I put up the building....Sadly, I had already jumped into 1K's with special one off hoods.....Still, Run 400w MV's under those for the UV and the solid addition of the blue spectrum.....Lights are spaced on 6 ft centers. No lack of light energy in that area....Do get some great yields with that set up....few of them have surprised me...

Glad someone understands what I was gettting at.

Example. You have two spare bedrooms in a non legal state, both 12x12.

You can either run 1 room with 4 1000w DE or run both rooms with 6 315 CMH in each room.

The 1000w room would yield around 9-10lbs.

The two 315 rooms would yield around 12-13.

Power bills would be roughly the same for both setup.

Therefore. Use what lights work best for YOUR space. Only got one bedroom and need the most out of it. DE.
Got lots of space but a restriction on power usage. CMH.
