Alright then, in that case, its time to take the house back from the roaches. The first step is to get rid of the entitlement mentality that is so pervasive in the country. Unless we do that, we're just keeping the roaches in business.

Let's see ... the socialists who are running our government just "socialized" 5.5. TRILLON worth of mortgages. Next on the list is to "socialize" our financial institutions to the tune of 700 BILLION dollars. This is a takeover of private industry, with strict governmental control, with the illusion of private ownership.
I'd say the type of socialism we are evolving into is fascism.

Maybe if we'd of had some "strict government control", we'd not be in this mess. Let's see, according to you, it's socialism-communism-fascism. I thought fascism was from the right, No? I guess it's just one big circle. BTW where do cronyism, plutochracy, oligarchy, and a myriad of other right wing venues fit in. Your right, we wouldn't be in this mess. Bush proposed new oversight on Fannie May and Freddie Mac and got turned down by the Democrat majority in Congress. Senator McCain sponsored a bill that would have allowed more oversight on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but it was turned down again by the Democrat majority. Can you say ... Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, Joe Biden, B. Hussien O'Bama .....

We live in a capitolist society. Everything is about capitolism and "how can I get mine, others be damned" and that's how we got into this mess.
Where are our maufacturing jobs? China. Who is substituting poison for ingreidants to save cash and make more money? China
Why is pot still illegal? The companies that have the most to lose from legalization that legalizes are the ones putting the big fat checks in the pockets of the law makers to keep it illegal so they can keep their bank accounts fat. So that comes back to money.
The mortgage meltdown, nope no greed there. OMG that is a child of greed as well, so is AIG. Before tax payers foot the bill maybe we should get to take a close up look at their books. I bet those books have plenty to say.
I think I need to know where the CEO of AIG lives. My money as well as all of yours is going to bail these corporations out and the heads still get to keep everything. Maybe we should stop by their estate and collect our moneys worth.
It's greed and capitolizim that is killing this country and I for one am embarressed by it.
