Nope. Never happened.

Clinton won the majority vote and lost in the Electoral College. We need to get rid of the EC. That's the most I've said on this issue. Otherwise, I've always maintained that it's the job of each candidate to convince people to vote for them. Same with Bernie. Never claimed rigged in any case. Every politician faces headwinds and dirty tricks. It's their job to convince voters to vote for them. No excuses, no do-overs.

Tell me again how the election was Bernie's to win and it was stolen from him. I'll say once more that's the argument of a weak crybaby.

Sanders is an average politician who has been good for the white people of Vermont. His statement that "people are tired of political correctness" and other comforting words to white people who are made uncomfortable by people who point out their privileged status in the structurally racist US socio-economic system is old school pandering.

But he's better than Trump, so I'd vote for him if he wins the nomination.

I don't much care for narcissists. It was a revelation to me when one tried to dominate me, I'd never seen anything like it before. Dumped her, but it was messy socially because her ego couldn't handle rejection. Never dated one like that again.

They didn't promise something they knew couldn't be delivered. Tell me again how it's OK that Bernie is is backtracking on this issue from his stance in 2015-2016 primary season.

Why is it that Bernie is now backtracking on his position of single-payer healthcare must happen now? Why is it OK with him if people don't care to vote on his plan?

By the way, Jeff Merkely, Oregon Senator has signed on as co-sponsor. Both Senators from Oregon support single payer. As do I.

I'm just pointing out how easily you Sandernistas were taken in and convinced Bernie was some radical. Somebody has to help you through your delusions.

Did you know that every Democratic Party Caucus Senator voted for Bernie's bill to repeal Citizen's United in 2014? The way you talk, it's as if you didn't know that.

I've said it many of the times I've repeated it to you. What? you didn't know?

Last year you were practically frothing at the mouth that "corrupt Democrats don't support repeal of CU". They always have. Or at least always have for about 20 or more years. Now that you realize it was Bernie's bill, you understand, I guess, that Republicans blocked passage of the bill, not Democrats. You've been walked back by your Amendment King to accepting it won't happen right away.

I don't care how you got here but, yeah, we don't have much difference once you come to the understanding that campaign finance reform has always been blocked by Republicans.

Bernie's been OK. I'm just pointing out that since the end of the 2016 election cycle, he's been much more practical and pragmatic in his policy stances. During the debates in 2015 he ripped Clinton a new asshole about the ACA and how come we don't already have universal access to healthcare. As if it was her fault and not Republicans and a few blue dog Democrats. Now, he's not only leading the defense of the ACA, he's telling his colleagues that it's OK with him if they don't vote for his bill on single payer healthcare. I say this not to criticize, I'm just saying that he's a good average white politician who will be good for the white people of Vermont while he sweeps under the carpet social issues that he's uncomfortable with such as Black Lives Matters. For political reasons, he's also backing people who oppose abortion. I understand why he's doing this and don't really like it.

I'd like somebody better to lead this country but will settle for him if he wins the nomination.

Sanders has always been a supporter of universal coverage, going back decades. He's the reason we're talking about it now. His supporters are the reason it's gained so much momentum and why so many establishment Democrats have accepted it as inevitable, especially the ones planning on running in 2020. If any of them didn't, they know there's no way they would win the nomination. For some, it's a political move, which is still OK with me, so long as they vote the way 80% of their constituents want them to vote.

Sanders said Democrats can vote however they want, but he believes it's unlikely they'll win the election if they vote against universal coverage. You're trying to paint that as him being totally accepting to supporting candidates who don't support it, which is a blatant lie. There's only one reason you would try to smear him and lie, we all know why.

In 2015, he was talking as if ACA was some sort of anathema that blocked Universal Access to Healthcare. Now, it's "I'm OK if you don't want to support my bill". Democrats have been supportive of Single Payer Healthcare or some insurance-based Universal Healthcare Coverage for about 80 years. The people who have been blocking it is Republicans. A handful of Blue Dog Democrats too but they weren't the force that stopped it.

I heard what Sanders said and your summary was accurate. This is less than what you have been saying until now. I see you've been sheepdogged into the fold. Maybe you came there before now but not what you were saying just months ago. Actually, what Sanders and now you are saying is what I said months ago: "some districts are more conservative and representatives from these districts will reflect their choices, not what a California liberal would want." Welcome to my position on this issue. Here, have a cupcake. I'm glad that we can now agree on this issue.

It's still up to the electorate for each Senator to drive his choice. We'll see if the tide has turned. I'm still not convinced it has. We haven't seen the bill or the price tag yet. That's when the fat hits the fire. By the way, you do realize that not co-sponsoring a bill is not the same as not supporting the bill when it reaches a vote, don't you?

My guess is, this doesn't make it to a floor vote. Just like the Citizens United Amendment that failed in 2014. If there are any votes on it, I'm willing to bet that only Manchin stands against it from the Democratic Caucus.

This doesn't go anywhere because Republicans stop it. After it fails, you will rage on about how Democrats didn't support it, when in fact practically all will. I have no hope for you.
