Help please!!

Well I fucked up big time. Lastnight I drove my car drunk, rode it up onto the curve, it stalled out, I took off running, called for a ride, cops showed up knocking on my door, I didn't answer, now my car is in impound I'm guessing and I have to figure out how to get it out while acting like i didn't know anything about what happened to it. Any advice? Not a good situation. Im going to have to make up a story about how it must've been stolen I'm thinking. And yes I have 50 seedlings in my basement and wondering if i need to kill them too until things are all back to normal

Go get your car back man. tell em you can't remember what happened cuz you were off your medication and take whatever ticket they throw at you. They don't know you were drunk nor can they prove it because its too long after the fact. As of right now, you didn't kill or hurt anybody so they just need to get some answers from you so they can close their case and go eat doughnuts.Tell them a clown was chasing you and you are terrified of clones that's why u left ur car running. Talking a couple close friends, they're saying that I should say i was watching the cubs game at my sister's, past out, woke up, went to stop for food and drive home, was drowsy and went up the curb then my car stalled so I went for help and when I got back it was gone.

I was told the worst they might do is write me a ticket for leaving my car.

So you guys think I have anything to worry about as far as my grow goes? I shouldn't have to take everything down and worry that they're watching me because of this Right? It's a decent sized city too so I'm sure they have plenty other stuff to worry about

There are a couple issues here that you probably should take a hard look at. You could have hurt yourself or worse someone else last night.

Are you in control of yourself and your life choices? Perhaps growing marijuana right now isn't a good idea. If you need to get rid of the plants it sounds like you may be in an area where it is not yet legal to grow.

About lying to the police. If you choose to do it at all. It may be better to just be honest and pay the impound and tow fee. And accept whatever they do. If you have a clean record they will be inclined to be easier on you.

We're not suggesting you lie and make a false statement.

Saying that someone stole your car is a pretty amazing tale. One that involves a false statement to police and your insurance company. If that backfires you are dealing with felony level charges.

It may be better to say something like that isn't so far from the truth.

You drove the car off the road. Perhaps you live in an area where wild life is abundant. And you were unable to swerve and regain control of the vehicle. When it became stuck on the curb you realized your phone died and couldn't flag anyone down. So you walked home and were going to deal a tow company once you got home. Upon arrival you were so exhausted you unfortunately fell asleep. You missed the police today because you were at work or back at the location looking for your car and ready to resolve the issue by getting it towed home or at least off the curb.

You are still responsible for illegally parking a vehicle. Hopefully you didn't damage any city property, and depending on the damage to your car it may not be considered leaving the scene of an accident. If it's considered an accident at all.

Sort of feel like we wasted too much time on this. If you're trolling RIU you should burn!!!

Lastly and hopefully the best option. Many states have a "what to do if your car becomes disabled on public roadways" webpage. For example in Washington state, if you return to the location and your disabled car is missing you are told to contact the state police.

Don't drive if you are so impaired [on any substance] that this type of ordeal is even remotely possible.

There's no excuse. You could have messed up your life and someone else's life last night. Even a DUI would severely change the course of yours. There's no excuse for it as there are so many other options on how to get home responsibly after drinking. Taxi, Uber, Lyft, Public transit, friends, family, walking...

1 u need to call a lawyer now ........they need to be hired (u are going to get charge with leaving the site of the wreck)1500-3500 cash
2 time is very very very important .....sooner u contact lawyer soon the lawyer can contact them and u go in (for a talk the charging is up to DA then it is just simple shit )
3 .......the story is always Keep It Simple Stupid (kiss)
3a deer or some other animal came out and made u cut the wheel ending up like that......head knocked u for a loop did not even think about it told story to buddy they said get a lawyer
3b u were cheating on your wife/gf (getting head in the car ) caused the wreck u guys freaked out got out of there .....the gal is already out of town wife does not need to know hence the lawyer with the friend thing
3c u have been out of town for the last 3 days with buddies on a hunting/fishing/poker thing ....did not know the car was gone what happen (know this is the hardest to pull off your cellphone is a snitch u might throw it away but the records of what towers u were hitting are still there

4 at all times u must stick to what u tell your lawyer .......if u pick to go with a complex lie to lessen the results be ready to have to stick to it .......lawyers can not knowingly put up false info to the court it will get their ticket yanked

this is small depends on where u are on how much trouble u are in
but get a fricken lawyer now and maybe have 5000 cash for a bail bond if election year (if more put it on a card)

your not looking at a felony but they got u on misdemeanor u are getting probation and something small like 100 200 hours of CS .....depending on the judge maybe AA or NA ordered too

I'm thinking what my story will be is I was drowsy after watching a game and passing out at my sister's and driving home I rode up on the curb, no one would answer their phone so i went walking to a buddy's for help. When I got back my car was gone.
If they ask me why I left in the first place I was tired and wasn't thinking.
The impound lot opens soon and I'll call them and ask if there is a hold on my car

I honestly don't know what to think.. the impound lot said I can come pick it up that there's no hold that "the police are just requiring I show I.d. when I pick it up".
And the impound lot is separate from the police station. You'd think I'd have to talk to the cops, these seems way too easy

Its almost like when your car breaks down on the side of the road and they tow it before you can get it. the impound lot wont ask questions they just want $. You might want to call the cops and tell them your neighbor seen them knocking on ur door and you are calling because your wondering what they want. When they say its about the car, tell em ur story so they can finish their report and all can be done with the issue. It will bring u peace of mind that its done and nobody will come a knocking.

If the cops left NO NOTE on your door. DON'T CALL THEM FIRST. There is NO issue now, DON"T go looking to start one. Just go bail out the car and stay quiet. Only the OWNER can get the car, that's why they want ID. These guys are busy and there not your parents. Just go get it.
