So myself and the fiance recently had a few days that we weren't able to check on the garden and through our own stupidity humidity was an issue.
So we came back to gnats, no big deal start prepping to deal with them and neem the plants/soil. Then she said she saw something moving in the soil after which we thought was larva but when we looked at it we saw what we assume is a root aphid nymph so we tried to get a picture to make sure before I spray some dangerous shit I don't need to.
I know they're not great pictures but I count six legs and they look an awful lot like aphids to us. And combining this with fighting magnesium deficiency and some sort of lockout for the last few weeks it even sounds like root aphids.
Currently planning on getting some OG Biowar foliar and spraying/drenching for at least 6 weeks combined with feeding a tea consisting of orca, extra bti, and ancient forest castings. Also giving it cannazym with the tea to get rid of as much of the dead roots as possible, hopefully the microbes take root pretty quickly and between the fungus killing them, the bacteria eating larva, and there being less food gets it under control.
Unfortunately I'm not sure I even have time to wait and see. It's much worse in my veg room than flower, only one plant in flower is showing visible signs of root aphids although I'm sure they're in all of them. Veg on the other hard most of them are showing stress and various different deficiency issues. And the amount of fliers is starting to pick up. Today is day 8 of flower so I've got just over 60 days left right now and I'd like to get a real treatment in while I still can if it's neceasary.
So should I just continue the course I'm on and hope it plays out or just get some imid and try to nuke them?
