Im looking to buy some SS LEC lights. But i was wondering if i should go with 2x 315 or a 630 to start with in a 4x4 tent. Is there an advantage to having 2 light points? Just wondering.
No problem. Have a good day J.R.Awesome thank you
Would you still recommend 2 315s over one double ended 630? The reason I ask is I just bought a 630 from growers choice and need to fill the other half of my 4x9.You'll be able to spread the light out a bit better using 2x315w, BUT, you will end up paying more for 2x315w vs. 1x630w.
So, I guess it depends on your budget...but yeah, If money is not a factor, grab 2x315w
I unfortunately don't have any experience with the dual ended cmh's, but my guess is that coverage would be a bit better on a double ender vs. standard 630 cmh, and penetration would be much better as well...if they are anything like HPS Dual Ended bulbs, which I am guessing they are.Would you still recommend 2 315s over one double ended 630? I believe I read over a thread on cmh's that you were apart of from a while back, anyway I appreciate any input

No I'm not near Cali. This de 630 I have is incredibly bright, ive never ran any other de bulbs so i cant compare but the downfall is it surprisingly don't have a footprint like you would think of a de to be because of the smaller reflector that came with it.The dudes at the shop i got my LEC 315s from run them and they said 2 315s give a better light spread because you can set them further apart than the 2 fixed points on the 630s. They said a foot further apart is ideal.
Idk if youre in southern california but theres a sale going for lights in encinitas
