Ready to harvest?

These are my blue dream auto plants entering their 9th week. It looks like they all have about half of the pistils darkened. I just started flushing. Any opinions on when it looks like I should harvest? Here are some high quality pics I took for fun.

Don't flush, you are doing more harm than good. As for if they are ready, what to the trichomes look like? Get a magnifying glass or loupe or microscope.

I was going to flush them just by giving them the normal schedule and doses but with just water for the last week or two.

Giving just water the last bit isn't flushing ....it's doing things correctly ...flushing is running absurd amounts of water through a plant to kill baby rhinos in Africa....pointless

That's not really flushing, that would be leaching. Flushing is pouring copious amounts of water thru the soil to flush the fertilizers out of the soil. Using just water the last week won't harm much since there will be nutrients still left in the soil. But it isn't necessary either, it's a myth that you can leach the chemicals out of the buds imo. I've done both, feed up until the end and also use just plain water the last two weeks, there is no detectable difference in the finished product. So now I just make sure that they have enough food to stay healthy until the end.

Ya it never seemed right to me to give them that much water. Like you said I feel like it would harm the plants more than do any good. Thanks man!

Here are some updated pictures I don't have any good jewelers loupe right now this is the best I could get of the trichomes. Most of the pistils are darkened. Any opinions? Does this look ready to harvest.

It's probably close to being ready. The trichomes show optimal, judging from that picture it sure looks close, just can't be as precise.

Update: Harvested on the 14th. Got a 40x jewelers loupe and saw about 15% of the trichomes were turning amber, the rest were cloudy. Trimmed them up, they are now drying in the tent with conditions of 65 to 70 degrees and 55-65 humidity.

Very nice!. Please post results of final dried weight and some beautiful pictures of those buds cured. They look really good in the live pictures, they should look really tasty cured.

All 3 plants together ended up getting about 2 and a half ounces. Turned out great! They've been curing for almost a month now.
