what do these look like I'm growing autos for the first time and this popped out what are they???They started to stretch and produce buds than this popped out

Nope! Lookin' A-OK to me. Pre-flowers form at the bracts, and like their name suggests, they develop much earlier/faster than the main buds/flowers.

Male pre-flowers would look like this. Notice the lack of any hairs/pistils.

How do u know if buds are gonna be small... I have about 30-40 days left .. How much bigger can they get...

Do all buds start this small??? My last grow I felt they looked bigger but it was photoperiod and it showed pre flowers before I flipped so when I did they exploded.. Do they all start small???

Yes, they all start out small, even photoperiod. They don't just magically appear as 1/2 oz nuggets. They have to grow. They still have time to get a LOT bigger.
