So, now we have learned that Chad was put on Trump's travel ban list because it had failed to supply a new copy of one of its passports to the Dept. of Homeland Security. Why? Because Chad had run out of the special paper used to produce its passports. An older sample passport was offered but rejected by DHS and then, for lack of compliance with the passport requirement, Chad was put on the ban list. Up until that time, Chad had been our main anti-terrorism partner in the region.
At the end of September, not long after being banned, Chad retired its anti-terror military forces from neighboring Niger where they had been a key element in combating diverse terrorist groups. And then just weeks later, US troops were ambushed and killed.

and as usual, the story is buried under trumps distraction tweets and picked fights. disgusting. I'll bet NOBODY in the real world has heard of this connection, because it isn't being carried on any of the news feeds the major portals run. It's all the drama over what he said, not what hid and failed to do.

Yeah, I don’t watch her often. I really liked Tim Russert, and tuned in to watch him a lot, but after he passed away I didn’t bother much with msnbc. She does break this Niger story down well though.
