this is my first attempt at growing cannabis, and I am not sure when to cut it down. I don't have a scope to look at crystals so trying to judge by eye

I think your about right with your reasoning on harvest time. You dont need a scope or loupe, just go by eye, what the pros do, when it looks done it is
