Strains, VPN's, etc.

Granted this is all theoretical but
If I was doing an aeroponic set up that I got from a guy known as 'stinkbud' (really wish I knew him personally because I'd LOVE to pick his brain a little) in a three room underground set up. Using 4 LED grow lights that put out 9700 lumens each and have the ability to adjust the color for whatever room you want. (I'm about to start selling those by the way as well as other lighting but I'm not ready to get certified on here QUITE yet and that's another story for another day and that's not theoretical I just have to get my pricing right then get it okayed by the owner / moderators here).

If I used some bagseed I have saved for the first run just to get my system dialed in then did a run of White Widow and maybe interlacing some of my bagseed for quantity.

Now I've done a LOT of research and I 'think' I've settled on trying some 'gorilla glue' for run #3 but, with the system I've got in mind, I can probably run a couple strains at once. I've dug through leafly and think that 'Blue Dream' and 'Girl Scout Cookies' would be good ones to take a run at.

But I like the opinions of the community here. So, what I'm looking for, is something medicinal that helps with pain, inflammation, and stress for someone with a chronic condition like crohns.

So Q #1 What other strains would you consider?

Next question is internet security. I see a lot of people posting pics of their grows on here. Do any of you worry about being traced back through your IP? Personally I use a VPN when I'm doing anything 'sketchy' on the web but, sometimes, I worry about you guys posting pics that you might get back traced. Let's face it this place isn't hard to find and, if I were an LEO, I'd be watching for pics of grows and see if I couldn't pop someone and make a 'name' for myself.

What I've heard, mostly from youtubers on the growtube roundtable, is that GG#4 is a tough strain to grow. It has a tendency to hermie since the strain was created from a plant that hermied. No doubt, it's great quality herb, but not sure if I'd want to grow it out unless I knew it was stable.

I'd also stick to 1, maybe 2 strains max per aeroponic setup. A cookies strain and a blue dream strain will have very different needs, both nutrient wise and environmentally. When you have two different strains growing in the same medium (like an RDWC for example), lots of times one strain isn't having it's specific needs met.

SinCity seeds has a strain I've personally tried called Incredible Power. I'd have to look at the container, but the dispensary I purchased it from had it tested at 15%THC & 15%CBD. This would be a great strain to grow to help with the pain and inflammation someone is experiencing with Crohns.

VPN is a must nowadays, regardless if perusing the web or posting in a grow forum. I don't feel it's any business of my ISP to know the websites. PIA (Private Internet Access) is the best VPN I've come across.

If people are posting pictures to the web that they took with their cell phone, it's advised to ensure GPS/location services was set to "off" on the camera. I wouldn't post cell phone pics altogether. Personally I use an old Canon Powershot that doesn't have any of the GPS nonsense on it.

Personally, I've been running cuts from a GG4 momma for almost 2 years and I've never found a seed or a nanner -Zero.
Shes actually pretty easy to grow, just gotta bulk up on nitrogen early on for flower.
Its a pretty good strain for increasing appetite and relieving muscle pains so I'd guess it to be a good contender strain for dealing with for Crohns.
Im not sure if @smokebros was reading up on BX seeds, S1's etc from GG4 but my experience is from a legit clone.

When it comes to pics, just right click your image / go to properties / click on the "Details" tab / click on "Remove Properties and Personal Information" / and follow prompt to make a copy of that image. This new "Copy" image will be free of gps location, personal details etc that many have on their cell phone pics.

My first laugh is "youtubers"! LMFAO..

The next is that GG#4 is tough to grow.....That right there tells me those folks sitting around that "round table" don't know how to grow and adjust for shit!

GG4 is easy as all hell to grow... It likes a bit more Mg and is a heavy feeder. I've run it for quite awhile now....High demand item.

Not a big fan of mixing some strains with others back in the ebb days..... Still, you can by simply following the basic plant mix. I mean that you can try running strains that are close to each other by mix concentrations. 70% Indica, with other strains at about the same concentration of Indica to Sativa (or vice versa) for cross's. So basically put. Run indica's with indica's and sativa's with sativa's....

I don't suggest you attempt pure or landrace sativa's or any high sativa mix that runs long..... Chances are it'll outgrow the aero fast....UNLESS, you go 11/13 from seed or damn near right after the first leaf sets come out.....

Oh sure, post while I'm practicing the "real" flush in a BRB.....:P

Red is very correct - I run 4-6-6 for her NPK from light flip, with 10 ml of my Mg sulfate juice and 10 ml of my 6% K sulfate juice. The supplements stop at right about 3 weeks to go, after a 20 ml shot of K2SO4. I then feed out to 2-3 days from harvest and quit the feeding to simply save nutrients (whats in the soil will run her out, no problem and it's not a fade to improve anything, nor does it)....

Not sure where the condescension is coming from here. I couldn't contribute anecdotal experience since I haven't personally grown out a true cut of GG4, so I contributed information that I picked up from quite successful growers. Guys like medgrower1 and vaderog aren't the type of guys that "don't know how to grow and can't adjust for shit".
No need to be a dick on the forum as there's enough of them already.

VPN is not secure. Some guy just got picked off by the FBx last week on a VPN service through logs. Read the news.

If your provider says they don't have logs they are a mother loving lie.

Random fact they go by is only shady up to no good people try and hide on the web's with Onion and VPNs. Hide in plain sight is better.

I'm going to respectfully disagree. Toss me a link to the article and I'll see what I can find out. Most of the time when people get caught doing something 'wrong' is when they screwed up. But I could be wrong and will admit as much if I'm proven to be so.

Thats kinda what I was thinking. There really isnt any anonymity anymore.

In that case do you think it's wise to post your grows if you're doing so in an area where it's not legal? Makes it too easy to get popped. That said I've been using VPN for a while and never had a single problem. Granted I keep an eye on new and better ones all of the time and will switch at the drop of a hat. Again no problems.

I agree with no post illegal sheet thought.
Exif data can be wiped. IP can be bounced. :-)

Interesting but I'm not convinced. Most of those articles that I browsed through it seems to me that the person using the VPN was doing stupid stuff that put a 'catch me' sign on their back.
OK. I gave you the information, it's up to you on how you assimilate it. You might want to check out my information security blogs or my Twitter all they do is scrape the web's 24/7 for this type of information or goto 0x00sec.o r g and ask oaktree about this, tell him I sent you.

Be safe

If anonymity is paramount.....no. Only way to be absolutely positive nobody knows about you and your business is if you simply dont post about it on a public forum. I dont have that concern about LEO like I do about rippers since Im a cardholder in a medical state and I stay within the legal limits.

I think thats what @Cx2H was implying is that a lot of those who use things like vpn's are hiding something stupid they are doing. Hence, the red flag theory.

Gentlemen you have made some valid points. I believe at this time it might be best if we take any further conversation private if we wish to continue the discussion. :)

Right, ok then.......
#1: You never grew the strain....
#2: The flood of wannabe YouTube Bull Shit is funny!
#3: You combined the 2 above and expect us to respect that?

:finger:

Here is pics of my first GG4 run. This is the clone being run out in a dial in run. I do that to determine what soil (organic, water only soils I build myself.) I need to run it in, nutrient wise for the proper growth of the strain. "Dialed In". It's in a longer running sativa soil with higher and longer lasting/releasing available N. You can see what it did.

This next pic is of a later run of GG4. This time the plant is in a more proper, nutritionally balanced soil for how the strain runs to get near potentials. It runs better, has less late run fall off, and it reached better potency levels, doing so consistently, with low variation's.
20170218_182137.jpg

It is still a "heavy" feeder that wants more NPK across the board over many strains. Feed it properly and she's simple and easy to grow. Keep the plant happy and it is one of the most vigorous strains I've run in awhile! Stability is great.

I simply don't understand anyone saying it's a hard strain to run! o_O Easy peasy dial in, and likes more N in bloom to balance the plant, while running higher P&K levels in bloom.
Pretty basic really! :hump:

Good stuff man. Do you think it would do well in an Aeroponic setup so long as I kept the NPK up? Seems like a strain that I might have the best luck with growing it on its own instead of mixing strains.
