Help me build 4 vertical strips for my tent

I know what you mean about saving for strippers....I mean strips
Good move going for the single row strips with more of them, considering your size of space and style of grow I think. Be interesting to see how the plants handle it when you get it all set up. Hopefully save yourself some money on the power bill too over the HPS.

yup those lap dances, oops, i mean strips can get expensive

i expect less heat also, well once the hps is completely gone.

Well sorry everyone, no pics last night, but the system is up and running and ran with the HPS and UV lighting last night.

it took me a while to get the frame, strips and wiring in a 4x4 tent while 4 plants are a month into flower occupying almost all the room, lol

i want to to zip tie wiring etc, before sharing. anyway will get some pics posted later this Saturday evening.

This system is going to be killer. i was so excited about it once i finally got it installed and running that i went to digikey to order more strips, lol

after having 90 in stock on monday, they only have 1 left. looks like i will have to wait for them to make more

i think i have decided on a final design. need a total of 10 more strips.

2 to complete the perimeter, 4 set in the middle of 4 plants(each shining directly at the each corner) and 4 across the top, 2 over each half of the tent. that will be 800 watts

here's what i am thinking; little rectangles represent vertical strips. horizontally dashes indicate strips above plants. i didn't draw 2 24" UV bulbs, but they will sit above the plants, 1 on each half of tent.

please ignore the plant on the front right, after harvest if it doesn't knock me on my ass i will cull her clones. the plant on the left is the same strain, lol... has trainwreck in it, trying to tame that a bit.

I'm sure the side lighting will help your grow. I know mine did. The wiring and ropes sure become a pain as you add more and more lights! Good job on the progress

as soon as digikey restocks the 3000K fb22b's i will buy 6 more to complete my vertical strips.

and, just as i was typing that

they have plenty of 3500K fb22b's in stock.

what do you all think of mixing 6 3000K's with 6 3500K's?

would you? or would you wait?

If it's supplemental light then it doesn't matter too much. Anything from 2700k to 3500k will do just fine for flowering.

supplemental now. but the hps is going away.

No it does not matter that its your primary lighting. I would recommend 2700k - 3500k for a good spectrum for flowering or you can mix them up. I'm using 3500k with 2000k for supplements right now and they are kicking butt. I'm going to be building some accent strips using luxeon sunplus soon as another alternative.

My grow -- veg and flower were all under 4000k light strips. The difference between 4000k and 3000k is negligible in my opinion.

ok, so i am about to order 10 more fb22b's tonight. was all set on 3500K, now i have read a few threads

I like 3000k over 3500K for flower. I mix 3000k/5000k for veg phase and flower phase. works great. I use a mix of 3500k/5000k for veg/flower also. I think the 3000k/5000k is a better mix of spectrum than 3500k/5000k

and now i am second guessing the 3500's? Apparently the 5000K's keep nodes shorter and plants more stout.

remember, a total of 16 strips, 6 of them are 3000K and these will ONLY be used in flowering.

whats the consensus? i asked in the other thread too...
