Cob power, penetration off light ? Help

Hello,do you know how much is the distance off light penetration for 100 watts cob ?
I want know if I have better distance penetration with 100 watts or it's the same than 50watts ???
I can grow more taller plants with 4*100watts or it's the same than 8*50watts
With hps 1000watts you can grow more taller plants than 250watts I want know if it's same with cob.....

It really depends on many factors, like optics(lenses/reflectors) and how dense is your cannopy and if your in an open space versus a tent.
One important factor with leds is really about how many light sources you use: if you have one really strong cob versus several smaller ones you may find that having light from several different angles instead of just one point the shadow pattern of more small lightsources gives it better penetration, at least up to a point. You also have good options for vertical/side lighting with samung/bridgelux hard strips if you find you want more light below.

Hello,i hope all is fine for you.I have 4*cxb3590 72V 3500K and 2 HLG-185h-C1400A.2 Cxb3590 on each driver.
I want add more cob for run each at 50watts,I think order some VERO29 3000K not avaiable in 3500K.
3500K is Nice because I make Grow and Flower,possible to make same with 3000k ???
My grow box is 1meter*0.7meter.I plan to start first cob grow with nice autoflower cross from a friend (autozilla,aunevil's and ww*nl*soma amnesia auto).
I want use Sannie's way off grow with 2 powders for inoculate soil with good bacteria and Nutes tabs.No PH no EC.
For soil I add 30 percent Coco and some perlite for better roots oxygen.
What's distance between cob and top plants (15 inch) or more ???

3000k will be fine for you or anyone else. Years ago I used HPS at 1800k to 2500k for entire runs. Your COBs are far superior. Have you grown herb inside before?

You will get similar, but slightly better results with 8 50w cobs. At 50 watts you will have better efficiency so you get more light from 8*50 than 4*100. More light = more penetration. More cobs provides more angles of entry but having an overall higher PPFD is the main key to more penetration. If you're in a rectangle shaped open area without reflectors you would be better off with a single line of cobs over a center area, 4 or 8. In a reflective area like a tent you would be better off spreading the light out more, not for the sake of penetration but because it's more important to get your light levels up across the whole canopy.

Hello,Rahz I want add 4 others COB to my setup.
I plan to buy 4pcs Vero29 3000K for mix with my 4 cxb3590 3500K.(3000K have 660nm and 3500K 435nm).
What's do you think about Full Spectrum COB 380nm to 840nm with peak at 460nm and 660nm (better than 3000/3500K Cob) ?
Do you think Vero29 3000K is good choice for use at 50w each or I can found better ?
How much distance from Top plants and COB for not damage the plants ???
Yes,I grow Indoor with HPS and Outdoor since more than 20 years now.I stop Indoor for few years now and I never use Leds Cob.

Sent you a reply to your PM, to address the other points,

I like running Vero29C at 700ma, 56% efficient using 3000K 90CRI spectrum.

I think 10-12" for mid power cobs is a good bet without reflectors. If building, plan around PPFD estimates and 90 degree effective cone of light but basically, mid power cobs 12" from cob to cob, 12" above canopy. Lower power cobs you can get away with closer spacing and closer canopy distance.
