DIY with Quantum Boards

Not sure about current but same wattage would apply 304 at 700ma is 75ish watts so a 288 running around 75 watts would be the same

I'm sorry. What I asked was how low can you drive a QB288? If you had money to run 16x QB288 in a 5x5, how low could you drive them in order to get decent PPFD? (+700)

16 qb at 500ma = 384 board watts or around 24 watts each.
384 watts would be ok ish in a 4x4 maybe.
I think it' to low for a 5x5 tho ;)

@robincnn or @Stephenj37826 i was wondering if i can add a mounting hole but wanted to run it by you guys first, i want to drill a whole for a screw on my qb 120 boards to suck them up to the plate there on what do you think

Personally if it was me I'd run each board at 50 watts each for 800 watts in a 5 x 5.
@robincnn ?
Use QB 120 for 50W per board. no heatsink required and lower cost.
We like running QB288's at 2100mA or 1750mA QB304 at 1050mA with heatsinks

@Ryante55
I see you are trying to add screw as you saw board was not in contact in center
Corner holes do not have metal trace so you can use screws there.
HOWEVER you are wanting to drill a hole on -ve Bus on top. 1 hole is fine but it may pass the -ve from circuit to the metal frame.
If you add a 2nd hole on other side then you have a hole in + bus and it may pass the +ve from circuit to metal frame and then+ve/-ve short-circuit on frame and driver short circuit protection (if any, MW has it) kicks in and no light.
My recommendation, no need to add additional holes. not many led's in center and surface area is big enough.
for next batch I can consider adding 2 more mounting holes on long side if you want.

i finally hooked up my killawatt to my lamp and it's dimmable from ~260w-695w. 4x qb304 and 2x HLG-320-1400A. currently about 2 weeks in flower and less than 16" away already. tallest one's around 13" away. hoping the stretch is about done.

i sprayed method 1 with the lights on

Is it me or does it look like you have some tiger stripes happening on the leaves around that bud site? Also, the tips of the leaves look burnt... maybe light too close or nutrient burn? Just a friendly observation.

could be early light burn
