Mega crop vs farmers pride

Damn, if I had a smidge more than "just enough" for my current test run with it, I'd like to run some comparisons with some store bought RO water just to see how well it holds pH vs municiple water with minerals and buffers. Lots of food for thought in this thread for the folks that actually test for MC.

i just started a new res but i'm gonna try MC and well water in a few days. i've been meaning to do it but had to go out of town here and there and needed a steady res. now i'll be home to monitor daily and adjust.

I just made 55 gallons of mc with RO and beneficials and I have a pump on circulating constantly. So far it's been stable for two days. I'll check it tonight. If it sinks like the Titanic I'm gonna have to get rid of it since I run recirculating in a ppk and it would not be ok to have to drain the giant res every few days lol

instead of blowing up this thread, i'll put my readings on the greenleaf and mega crop happy to be here thread under advertisers.

i put them up for my results with RO water. not sure what page it's on.
Go ahead and post em here too. I think I'm going to make the switch when I'm get lower on bp farmers pride.

third day on the ppk res. approx. 50 gallons in the entire system that recirculates via top feed drip every for 20 seconds every 2 hours. ph is at 5.9. my main res that i top off with has risen to 6.2 which i am gonna attribute to the beneficial bacteria bloom and the pump that waterfalls 24/7

i measured the 6g per gallon and it gave me an ec of ~1.6 so from now on when i mix i just dump in the powder until i hit 1.6ec and i know im somewhere in the ballpark of 6g per gallon area. i switched from jacks in the middle of flower which was probably a mistake lol. i should have just started new and clean but i jumped the gun haha. hopefully all goes well and without too many hiccups

i put a lot of faith in this mega crop. you can count on me to tell it to you guys straight. Good or bad. i was just comparing the specs on it vs what i switched from(jacks) and theyre extremely close except MC has all the additives. heres what i found so far

I honestly have zero complaints so far with it other than how it smells in the bag haha. :spew:
Solid ph with the perfect amount of drift, no burnt tips, mixes down nice in the res. I hope it does as well as Chaos' flowering plants.
Thats not to say I wouldn't need pH up if the pH of my water were to change (which it does by almost 1.0 point between summer and winter). I dont even own a bottle of pH up.
I've had the same pint for 4 years lol. I only use it when I don't have time to dump and fill when it does drop. My ph will start to drop if its change out time and I've left it to long :(.

UPDATES- mine with RO rises daily from 5.8 to 6.4. gonna try and add cal and silica to the water before hand and see if she holds steady. i guess i could add a little tap water til i hit 100ppm or so. wont need much, my tap is 750 lol and no its not well water.

other than the ph swing i really like it. seems to keep the plants happy so far and no signs of burning on the seedlings at near full strength.

if i cant get it to hold steady i will be giving a bunch away. mine stay steady at 6.4 with RO so i think a soil grower would LOVE this stuff. i am a one man show and cant chase multiple res's in multiple locations daily. its gonna give me gray hairs early lol
