Hello,my problem is i have stuff in my shatter when i go to turn it to juice for my pens it has a bunch of stuff in it,i use glass extractor 30 inch,blue flame butane,two coffee filters blast in pyrex pan do the warm water bath then purge in my vac for atleast 20-24 hours 100-120 degrees higher temps only when bubbles stop just curios if i need better filters or am i missing something..lol sorry for spelling .

BHO is oil or budder/butter when whipped...

You skipped a step to actually make it shatter! You did not remove the wax's and esters that are left behind from the Butane extraction..

Take your purged BHO and get a pure, medical grade alcohol - NOT a methanol alc. ! Put your BHO in the alc. ratio depends on amount of BHO...... I'll put several blastings in a quart. That goes inn a freezer for several weeks to a month (wintering). Now take that out and nice and cold...Run it through a new, fresh, unbleached coffee filter. Take a look and see what you missed!

Evap the alc off and purge like before - Bingo...Shatter. No contaminates to screw with your pens coil...

A not exactly as safe alternative but easy option if you run a large amount is to keep the butane under boiling point which I believe is like 30 degrees the plant fats will eventually settle out if it undisturbed long enough.

We used to achieve it using a double boiler type setup but with dry ice in the bottom, usually during the winter as we were outside before a buddy got a unit with inline dewaxing a while back.

It's by no means safe, and not nearly as efficient but it will get about 85-90% of the solids out in about an hour. If you live in a secluded area this could be an option so long as you protect the pan from particulates falling in.

After about an hour there should be a thick layer that somewhat resembles cool bacon fat on the bottom of the pan, you just pour the butane off the top into the filter taking care to not pour out the other layer as it's kinda sludgey and hard to filter then evaporate the butane and purge as normal. We always added the white part back into our runs for edibles.

This does not work well in any type of warmer month. The Butane will pull in too much moisture from the air.
Too much work for me....But it does work.....I still prefer to winter....

Yeah we found out during the super cold winter up here like 5 years ago, we left the butane out at like -20 and it all settled out and we got the best looking stuff we had ever made, we then decided winter and as cold/dry as possible was the best way to go.

They make water siphon filters as well OP. You could always Dewax the old-school cheap way as another option. Winterizing is probably the easiest though for making pen juice. Winterized wax for me always ended up almost on the verge of being sappy anyways.

No need to purge your oil before winterizing. Doesn't make sense to do it twice. Dissolve butane/oil mixture in 100% achohol, into a mason jar. After it stops bubbling the majority of butane is gone. Put mason jar in cooler with dry ice. Leave for a few hours. Then strain through a Buchner filter. Distill the majority of alcohol back then purge like normal but for a lil longer.
