Try a fresh frozen dry ice ethanol (95%) extraction. Mix your dry ice into the ethanol to get it below zero C. Put in the fresh frozen material and let it soak. Mix it up good. Time soaking shouldn’t be an issue in regards to chlorophyll coming through in the extract as long as it’s below zero. After wash, run it through mesh and evaporate. I think this gives you more room for error rather than relying on near zero C temps with a regular freezer.
This is a great idea. Haven't trialed the fresh frozen QWET before, just dry material for RSO: froze the jars with trim/smalls, then filtered with an unbleached coffee filter, refrozen and winterized with a new filter to dewax, and then reduced on a hot plate at 175 with recollection of ethanol, and decarbed at 285 after recollection for 20 minutes.
Do you have a recommendation for quantity of dry ice type metric? Ive heard of coolers being used, so I suppose you could also just put the dry ice slabs in the freezer, between two cookie sheets, and place quart jars on the top cookie sheet?
