I'm not confused. You're the one on the internet, with a car in your driveway and reliable power and safe streets, etc, etc, etc.

You want 'freedom' from the 'tyranny' of such impositions?

Fine.

Go scratch out a living in the woods. Until then, you're the terminally confused, nevermind entitled one.
You assume in the absence of a central authority that technologies would not exist. Where's your evidence of that?

I have lived in the woods, but it was a choice borne from desire, not confusion.

It does by common agreement, a process known as 'democracy'.

Perhaps you've heard of it?

How is democracy if taken to its logical end any different than gang rape in the way that the respective decisions are made and applied to the dissenters ?

I seriously doubt you will attempt to give a real answer to that question.

Building a car might be within the ability of an individual, but the road networks took collective action.

You want the benefits without paying your fair share.

That's not coercion, that's just greedy and lazy.

We do have checks and balances. Any system if government is going to swing back and forth. This one is currently taking too much from the poor and giving it to the rich, for example. But it's our responsibility to demand and work for change, not just whine.

If you don't want to put forth the effort, you're welcome to go back into the woods.

I've never said I'm against collective actions. I'm against forcible compulsion. Of course people should pay for what they use. Of course people should not be made to pay for that which they don't use or are forced to use because alternatives / competitors are forcibly outlawed by a central authority.

Are you unable to distinguish between a collective between agreeing parties and a forcible collective ? ...Or do you need to rephrase my ideas in order to avoid answering my questions?

I thought you were opposed to war? Are you?

It's our responsibility to make and live with our choices and not force our choices on others.

So, are you opposed to war or not ?

No one is forcing you to stay here. Therefore, you aren't being coerced.

The door is always open...

why did you force others to pay for your children's education? Why do you now complain when you have to help pay for others ? I'm I spelling "hypocrite" correctly ? or should I spell it "Rob Roy"

You still are. You brought up war, not me.

Okay, I guess I'll have to be more blunt since you seem oblivious to your predilection for using offensive force to get your way.

Have you ever considered that the methods used in war and the methods used to create "your utopia" are very similar ?

So, you admit forcing others to pay for your good ideas is a bad thing? That's a good start Laundryman.

I complain because I don't own other people and other people don't own me. Who owns you?

But it was ok for you to take advantage of and then "change your mind" when you'd gotten what you needed?

I assume there would be some kind of "dispute arbitration" in your libertarian fantasy? Do you think they would allow breach of contract?

Improper assumption on your part. First of all, I've paid far in excess over the years of whatever the cost was for my kids indoctrination, so by your logic I've "overpaid".

That's not the point though. If you found out you were participating in something which featured coercion as a center piece would you ignore it or try to change or opt out of it ?

13/20 of the top threads are bernout troll bait. Meanwhile Trump just got his ban and the GOP just passed the worst piece of legislation in modern history.

Here's how Bernie can still win?
