Got mine 9 days from the day I orders on a Sat...so far they are germinating except for 3 of 17...Cant wait to see if they are really feminized if so id have to say attitude is an A-

how are you going to germ? I keep seeing these 12/12 from seed to flower methods... can I germ in the rockwool?

Paradoxxx....I'm going to wrap my seeds in wet/damp paper towels, put them in a bowl, and put the bowl in a dark/warm place (temps above 80 if u can). I germ'd seeds that were 10-20+ years old this way, just put the bowl on top of an electrical appliance givin out heat, and they popped in 36 hrs or so.

Then straight to the rockwool?.. you doing it the traditional 24/7 veg then 12/12 flower?

I dont know what kind of seeds u have bro i have autoflowering plants so I will have mine on 20/4 all the way through....I get mine to sprout by floating them in a shot glass of mineral water thats kept in a warm place and they always work that way

Once you see a tap root sprout in the water go straight to the medium u plan to use the rest of the way

Paradoxxx..YES I'll put them straight into 1" rockwool cubes with the root tip down, and the shell just barely down into the whole, so its stickin up a tiny bit. I'll make sure the cubes are already saturated (but not dripping) with water, and the lights will be on, but a good 2-3 ft away until i start seeing the first set of leaves, then i'll put them much, much closer. And YES I think i'm going with 24/0 lighting in veg, then to the flower room (I have them seperate) @ 12/12.

you rock, thanks. My first grow. thinking SOG. from what i understand, SOG is just switching from 24/7 to 12/12 and switching the nutes.. from what I have read I will do this @ 12-16".....
Let me know if I am on track

that sounds about right....with SOG u basically just have a lot of plants in a smaller area, and u dont let them grow (veg) very long. The longer u let them grow, the more space they take up. You're on the right track!

nice. just found out I have to goto Denver for 5 days on the 19th. Estimating this, they should be 1 week old at this time. Dont know whether to hold off or have a friend raise the light for 4-5 days...

so you'll be gone from day 7-12 in the grow? If you have a good setup goin (timed watering, etc) all you'd need to do is just put the lights a little higher. At this point, I doubt they grow much more than a few inches (maybe 3 or 4 max) in that 5 day span. So to be safe (depending on what kinda lighting u are using and if u have a reflecting mylar up or anything) just put the lights about a foot higher than u would normally.
