5 weeks from flip and only pistils

I was told my 1000 watt led was the equivalent to a 600hps. I have two of those leds and a whole room to grow but I’m o my using a corner about 4X4 maybe 5X5

Yeah, that's what they all say... with them type of led its the real wattage that counts. Some "1000w LEDs" can be as little as 130w.
Reason for asking was in case you were trying to light up 2 5x5s with them and been drastically under lit. But if your only using 4x4 area it shouldn't be too bad.
What brand LEDs are they out of curiosity?

I got them from seed with one light. I got my second at the end of veg phase. It grew 8 plants pretty well. It’s a Bestva 1000 watt dual chip led. I researched it a lot and the reviews were 4 or 4.5 stars. There were a lot of reviews and only a few saying they went out fast or were damaged when they got them.

Yeah ive heard of them.
180w each. A bit under lit with two of them.
Take no notice of amazon/ebay reviews. You have to think how the system works, you buy a product, it works when you turn it on, so you leave a review that's glowing. Vegging obviously takes little light, its when they go into flower that people find they lack the power, by which time a positive review has been posted.
Anyway it is what it is.

So bananas. Is that just seeds in the bud? Or is the whole plant going to be fucked off?
It depends, you can pluck them off, they look immature. But they may keep coming. Time to check your set up, make sure they are getting total darkness for 12hours. No flashing lights blinking ect.
Could be they just herm easy, after all its a bag seed.

I tried looking at them on other websites. I honestly no nothing about lights. I just read leds are cheaper with electric and they don’t produce heat. When I found them they were generally the same thing as far as reviews. One review from high times said it was an up and commer. Well I learned. Guess I’ll just get a grow tent and do the hos light when I’m done with this grow.

Yeah its a minefield out there as far as LEDs go. So many bull shit claims and websites designed to mislead, it ruins the reputation for good LEDs. I use LEDs myself and love them.
When they are good you can use less power to create more light and thus save on electricity and lower heat. But watt for watt they are the same heat as anything else.
Take a look in the LED section if you do decide to change, there are lots of options that are good.
Nothing wrong with the ole HPS though.
The main thing is your plants get enough light and you like the results at the end..

Hope you manage to keep on top of those nannas and get some herb at the finish line!
:bigjoint:

Took my wife’s tweasers and started. It’s prolly the whole plant and it’s the best one I had as far a quality lol. Thanks guys. Everything is greatly appreciated!

just so you know, any electrical device produces heat. its the nature of the beast. and they all produce heat at about the same rate. the reason leds are cooler to run is that it takes less electricity to produce a lumen of light with an led than it does with an h.i.d. light. thats why they say you light equals a 600 watt hps, it probably uses less than 300 watts to produce the same amount of lumens as a 600 watt hps, so it produces about half the heat to get the same results.

don't worry too much about the nanners, i've had several plants that will produce them, then quit. as long as you keep on top of it, you should be alright. if you get rid of them all and it keeps growing more, then that's not good.
